Michael Strahan is a proud dad as his daughter shows off her long curly hair in picture
Michael Strahan loves to spend time with his children, and on a recent pic with one of his twin daughters he brought out his playful nature to show his followers how he would look with red curls, courtesy of the beautiful girl.
The doting father took to Instagram to delight fans with an adorable pic featuring his 14-year-old daughter Isabella. In the shot, the teenager lent her curly locks to the “Good Morning America” host, tossing her long mane over his head to create a makeshift natural hair wig.
“I wondered how I’d look with hair like @isabella.strahan, so she helped me out,” Michael wrote to capture the fun snap and added,
“Next time @sophia_strayneeds to loan me a few curls LOL #Familyovereverything.”
Sophia is Isabella’s twin, and both girls are the product of Strahan’s second marriage to Jean Muggli. He also has two other grown children from his first marriage to Wanda Hutchins.
BEING A HANDS-ON DAD AGAINST ALL ODDS
Even though both of his marriages ended in divorce, the former NFL star has proved he’s a devoted father to his four kids, being a constant presence in their lives despite not living with their respective moms, and even overcoming the distance, since his eldest kids, Tanita, 26 and Michael Jr. 23, live in Germany with their mom.
Speaking to People magazine in 2016 the "Good Morning America" co-host said that his kids are his source of strength.
“I love being with the kids. To me, it’s all about family, now more than anything.”
And added:
“I think a lot of times when you split, people assume that the mother is supposed to take responsibility for the kids. But from day one, it was very important for me to be active, to be a part of their life. I was constantly on planes and phones. And it’s very hard – of course, it’s hard with them being in Germany. But one thing I learned is, you make time for what you want to make time for.”
SPECIAL MOMENTS WITH HIS CHILDREN
Michale spends as much as time as he can with his kids. Whether it is over the holidays, or taking them to special awards, Strahan always makes sure to keep creating memories for them. Last July, he brought the twins as his date to the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Sports Awards.
Talking to Footwear News at the at the 76th Annual Father of the Year Awards luncheon in New York in 2017, Strahan shared that the most challenging thing about being a father is when the kids are young, and they won’t let you sleep.
THE ‘BOY SITUATION’
However, he also mentioned not looking forward to handling the “boy situation” with the twins as they grow older:
“Now my [twins] are getting to that age that the next hard thing for me will be the boy situation. So we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it, but until then, I’ll continue to enjoy every day. I don’t get stressed by my kids. They’re easy, and it’s fun.”
And as a testament to his devotion for the kids, Michael revealed that the best thing about being a father is being a father and teaching the kids, who are a part of yourself, everything they need to know for a while.
“To see them grow and become adults and the conversations — it is the most fulfilling thing that you can ever do in your life. It’s better than any accomplishment you can ever have from work,” he added.
Michael spent Christmas with all of his kids and shared a family pic with them while spending time in a beach port. “Merry Christmas from my family to yours!” he captioned the adorable pic. “Enjoy the special time with your family because there is nothing better or more important.”
