Magic Johnson melts hearts with sweet photos & loving message as wife Cookie turns 60

Magic Johnson has made sure to honor his wife Cookie during her birthday, showering her with nothing but love on social media as she turns 60 years old.

If you have a love as strong as Cookie and Magic Johnson, clearly one birthday post will never be enough. In fact, after being married for almost thirty years, you'd think these photos would come with short captions as they'd probably run out of things to say by now. However, this proves to be wrong for Magic, who had a lot to say to his lovely wife as she turned another year old.

Magic's first birthday post included Cookie looking very happy while surrounded by her closest girlfriend, in what the NBA legend shared to be her "60 closest girlfriends". The lovely ladies all gathered at the Bel-Air hotel for brunch, of course with Magic in attendance.

His second one was a carousel of all their different photos through the years, with a sweet caption for his "beautiful queen". According to Magic, her 60th doesn't only mark her birthday, but also the 42nd year that the both of them met when she was 18 years old.

The basketball star made sure to reminisce and say he wouldn't have ever thought that after meeting so long ago, they would be here, happily celebrating the rest of their lives together.

"Cookie, you truly encompass a Proverbs 31 woman. You are clothed with strength and dignity, and laugh without fear of the future. When you speak, your words are wise, and you give instructions with kindness. Your wisdom is treasured."

Of course, he also made sure to let her know that although they've only been married for 27 years, the 42 years that he's known her has been the best of his life, and he shares that it's great to see her continuously striving to be the best version of herself.

In his last birthday tribute to his wife, he shared a photo of the entire Johnson family, saying that she is his best friend, and the best wife, mother, and grandchildren. He also made sure to include his favorite bible verse which he thinks encompasses Cookie's being, specifically Proverbs 31: 28-29, which reads:

“Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: ‘There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!’”

Clearly, Magic has nothing but love to give for his wife, and as they grow older, their love only grows stronger. As he would put it himself,

"I love you until the end of time!"
