TV figure falls on her face during 'Dancing on Ice,' leaving her in tears

Gemma Collins has fallen again, this time during a segment of "Dancing on Ice," earning herself a bruised ego in the process, but still managing to get a top score.

Gemma Collins and partner Matt Evers were skating to Céline Dion's "It's All Coming Back to Me Now" when she appeared to lose her balance and dramatically faceplanted on the ice.

Collins stayed on the ground motionless for a few seconds, leaving judges, audience, and dance partner wondering what to do next, but then she popped back up and soldiered on, bravely finishing her routine smiling.

After an epic fail like that, no doubt Collins expected to see a drop in her numbers. Instead, she received her highest score of the series.

On the wave of a dismal week amid personal family drama, Gemma deserved a break, and she was left in tears from both her score and her pain from falling. She posted on her Instagram stories shortly after:

"I'm in absolute agony."

The previous Sunday, Collins had a heated exchange with judge Jason Gardiner who declared that her routine "lacked elegance." He also alluded to her weight saying that her pro partner would not be able to carry her.

The low 13 points she scored that week after skating to "Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend" did not leave her bursting with confidence. The outspoken Australian choreographer who body shamed her also said to her rudely:

“You were channelling Marilyn [Monroe] but we ended up with Anna Nicole Smith.”

Implying that she was "lazy" in an interview he gave The Sun, the pair then had a public spat that left viewers horrified and running to complain to the TV regulator.

Even Piers Morgan came out in support of "Team Collins" on "Good Morning Britain" saying Gardiner was wrong to berate her to the press.

Earlier in the week, it was revealed that the situation had escalated such that Gardiner was considering taking legal action against Collins.

However, Collins is no shrinking violet and her alter-ego "The GC" would probably enjoy the battle, hoping to see the fat-shamer get his comeuppance in court.

It appears that people who exist solely to body shame others are everywhere, and one new mother happened to find one of these miscreants sitting next to her on a plane.

After confronting his bad behavior, instead of apologizing for his crude remarks, the man tried to get an air hostess to change his seat. The woman later turned to social media, where her post went viral.

Gemma Collins reminds us that it's not the number of times you fall but the number of times you get back up again that makes all the difference.
