Picture of Adam Levine's little daughters watching dad's shamed performance at the Super Bowl
Adam Levine’s daughters don't agree with the critics about their dad's performance at the Super Bowl.
Social media may be abuzz with criticism of Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and the band's performance at the Super Bowl, but the singer still has some devoted fans.
Levine's wife, model Behati Prinsloo shared a sweet photo that proved that not everyone disapproved of his act, and some even applauded it enthusiastically.
“We love you dada!!!! #superbowl53.”
ADAM LEVINE'S BIGGEST FANS APPROVED
While Levine and his band have garnered almost universal criticism for their lack-luster performance at the Super Bowl, his two tiny daughters were riveted by dad's rocking style.
Prinsloo posted a photo of their cute daughters - Dusty, 2, and Gio, just 11 months old - sitting on the floor, watching their dad's historic performance on TV.
Adam Levine's fans responded with enthusiasm - not shared by many detractors - when the singer finished his act shirtless on the Super Bowl stage.
PRINSLOO'S LOVING TRIBUTE TO LEVINE
The Victoria's Secret Angel also posted a photo of herself embracing a shirtless Lavine backstage, and she captioned it:
“No words can describe all of this…. I love you…”
A CONTROVERSIAL PERFORMANCE
Maroon 5 had not been the organizer's first choice for the prestigious Super Bowl halftime show.
The organization had invited Rihanna, and then Pink to perform, but both women declined as a protest for the NFL’s treatment of dissenting football player Colin Kaepernick who refused to stand for the National Anthem as a protest against discrimination.
LEVINE'S GRACIOUS RESPONSE
Levine responded to the criticism in a post, thanking the fans and followers for their input.
"We thank our fans for making our dreams possible. And we thank our critics for always pushing us to do better. One Love. ❤️"
Adam Levine's fans responded with enthusiasm - not shared by many detractors - when the singer finished his act shirtless on the Super Bowl stage.
BARING IT ALL AT THE SUPER BOWL
One of the factors that seem to have aroused the most dissension, was Adam Levine having stripped off his jacket, then his tank top.
The singer finished his performance barechested, showing off his ripped physique and his many tattoos to the Super Bowl crowd.
“Adam Levine shirtless has been the best part of this #SuperBowlLIII so far, hands down.”
While devoted fans loved the show, others were far from charmed:
“Wait. Adam Levine can go shirtless but y’all were trippin over ONE Janet Jackson titty? So Adam Levine can perform shirtless but Janet Jackson can’t? This is so very wrong haha. #PepsiHalftime.”
Social media remembered how Janet Jackson's career was negatively impacted in 2004 when Justin Timberlake ripped her costume during the Super Bowl show.
Jackson was vilified, but Levine seems to be doing all right. Double standards seem to win out every time.
