John Legend wears black bob wig and poses with wrestling competition belt at Lip Sync Battle
Chrissy Teigen is a staple in all of Paramount Network's "Lip Sync Battle" episodes, but today she's set to appear with a special guest - her singer husband, John Legend.
The 33-year-old model-host will be joined by her husband John, who is set to add some extra entertainment in the show. Chrissy brought 40-year-old John along for the lip syncing competition, where he made sure to carry his Emmy award trophy.
He won the award after the production of "Jesus Christ Superstar", which he produced and starred in. The award turned out to be historic after it placed John in an exclusive group of only 15 people to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony award. He is also the first black man to have won this honor.
Although the trophy was meant to be a testimony to his stellar singing skills, or in this case, lip-syncing skills, he made sure to have nothing but fun during his show segments, even posing with a wrestling championship belt and sporting a black women's bob wig.
Aside from John, the episode also included singer Andy Grammer and actress Vanessa Morgan. The "Keep Your Head Up" singer performed a number dressed as Will Ferrell's iconic character from the 2008 basketball comedy called "Semi-Pro."
Andy made sure to imitate the way Will's hair was styled and even the sideburns that easily distinguished his character in the movie. As for the song he lip-synced, it was the 1989 hit song "Pump Up The Jam" by the Belgian group "Technotronic."
Vanessa Morgan, known for her role in the CW series "Riverdale," joked around saying Andy didn't make a slam dunk the entire performance.
"I didn't know where I was, he didn't make a slam dunk."
Challenged, the singer responded to the comment by shooting an impromptu basket from the center of the stage.
The Lip Sync Battle's most recent episode airs Thursday, February 7 at 9 PM ET/PT on the Paramount Network.
It seems John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have been hard at work together recently, having starred in the latest Pampers commercial with their children. In the diaper brand's latest advertisement called "Stinky Booty Duty 2.0," John is seen changing his youngest child Miles' diaper. When he realizes that he has a "stinky booty," he then calls his daughter Luna for backup, who starts throwing baby wipes at her dad.
The family then starts belting out a tune that repetitively said: "somebody got a stinky booty." In the end, a surprise star appeared to finish the diaper duties, and it turns out to be Adam Levine who ends the song by saying "and daddy's gonna clean it up," while taking care of his own child, Gio.
