Rapper Rich The Kid was robbed and shot outside a studio in West Hollywood where Usher had been working on music in a separate session.

After posting a photo with his Lamborghini and stacks of cash, Rapper Rich the Kid was robbed and shot. The incident took place outside a recording studio in West Hollywood, California.

Usher happened to be working on music inside the studio when the incident occurred. The news was released by a spokesperson from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office in West Hollywood.

The initial statement revealed there was an assault outside of a recording studio on Tuesday evening. However, it did not name Rich the Kid, 26.

The rapper was seen speaking to police after the incident. TMZ later confirmed he was targeted and was the victim in the incident.

The Sheriff’s Office later released a statement confirming that the robbery “occurred on the 7200 block of Santa Monica Boulevard, West Hollywood." The statement also said it happened "at approximately 3:13 p.m. today.”

According to the statement, sheriffs arrived on the scene and “found three male black assault victims.” It went on to elaborate on what occurred.

“The victims stated, three black male suspects, confronted them in the alley behind a business and demanded their money and jewelry. The victims were then physically assaulted by the suspects. All the suspects got into a vehicle and drove away, westbound from the location. As the suspects drove away, a shooting occurred by an unknown male suspect. The shooting suspect has not been located or identified,” stated the press release.

According to an eyewitness, nearly 10 gunshots were fired after an altercation outside the Westlake Recording Studio. The studio declined to comment to media outlets.

A member of Rich the Kid’s entourage was allegedly struck with a gun. He was badly injured as a result.

Hours before the alleged attack, Rich the Kid shared a photo of himself. He was posing in front of his cobalt blue Lamborghini truck while holding stacks of cash. The alleged robbery also comes just a few months after he was hospitalized following a violent home invasion.
