J.Lo dazzles from head-to-toe in a plunging bodysuit during a show-stopping Elvis tribute
Hot on the heels of Jennifer Lopez’ amazing Grammy night performance, she delivered an Elvis Prestley tribute that will have you put on your blue suede shoes. And she looked amazing.
On Sunday night the NBC aired the Elvis All-Star Tribute, a week after the Annual Grammy Awards. During the evening, Jennifer Lopez took to the stage to perform “Heartbreak Hotel.”
Donned in a sparkling black bodysuit with zipper detail on the front, Jennifer gave an energetic yet sultry rendition of the classic 1956 Presley song.
With the wind from blowing machines tugging at her hair, Jennifer’s vocals weaved through the notes, with none other than Willie Nelson’s son, Lukas Nelson as back-up on the guitar.
After the performance aired, Lukas said in an interview:
“She said it'd been a dream of hers to play to in front of a rock & roll band, and she got her dream realized. I think she killed it. She did a great job.”
On Monday Jennifer posted a clip from her performance during the tribute along with a message of appreciation:
The tribute that got recorded in Los Angeles back in October last year featured many talented singers. Among those who also honored Elvis during the tribute featured John Legend, Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Ed Sheeran, Shawn Mendes, Adam Lambert, and Kelsea Ballerini.
The show aired to commemorate Presley’s “68 Comeback” special, and Jennifer just killed her performance all round. The bodysuit accentuated her curves while her eyes drew you into her performance.
Jennifer’s rendition was captivating with sensual vocals as she rocked it out on stage. She first announced her performance in the special with an Instagram post on January 8:
A week ago Jennifer caused somewhat of a stir after a surprise Motown tribute she was part of, that kicked off the 61st Annual Grammy Awards on February 10. Haters pointed out that Jennifer is a Latino and not representative of Motown because she is not black. Her performance won many fans over as one follower tweeted:
Following her fantastic performance of a Motown medley with Alicia Keys and Smokey Robinson, Jennifer told ET:
“It was for my mom. I could cry. It’s such a good moment. It’s just a dream come true. Singing up there with Smokey Robinson, like, I gotta pinch myself… I grew up on all those songs, and because my mom loved him so much, she passed him on to us.”
Apart from her performances at the Grammy Awards and during the Elvis Tribute show, Jennifer also killed it on Valentine’s Day. She spoiled boyfriend, Alex Rodriguez with a beautiful and expensive gift.
The couple just celebrated their second anniversary and love is still thick in the air. Jennifer gifted the former baseball player a silver and blue Audemars Piguet Royal Oak chronograph watch for Valentine's Day. The pricing fell in line with how expensive it sounds, as according to Page Six the watch is worth an astonishing $24,000.
But Jennifer is gearing up to get into her dancing flow again as the hit show “World of Dance” has the premiere of its third season set for February 26 on NBC. After it's premiere episode, the show will move to Sundays.
But the chances are that Alex outdid Jennifer with his Anniversary present this year, after all, Jennifer even “fan-girled out.”
