Academy Award winner Gabbie Sidibe is unwavering in her support of Jussie Smollett, even after his arrest.
Despite the growing anger and disbelief surrounding singer and actor Jussie Smollett, one person is staying firmly on his side.
Gabby Sidibe, who works with Smollett on "Empire" has been unstinting in her support of her colleague and former roommate.
"'I know him, I believe him, I stand with him. #jussiesmollett."

Smollett had claimed to have been a victim of a hate crime but has now been arrested for tending a false police report.
Though he was initially offered unstinting support when it was believed he had been attacked by homophobic racists, has seen that support melt away as evidence gathered that he had lied in order to garner sympathy and attention. Only one friend has stood fast: Gabby Sidibe.

SMOLLETT PAID NIGERIAN BROTHERS TO STAGE ATTACK
Smollett was arrested on February 21, 2019, by Chicago Police on charges of Disorderly Conduct and Filing False Police Report.
While investigating Smollett's "attack" the Police had discovered evidence indicating that Smollett had paid Ola and Abel Osundairo, two Nigerian brothers who worked with him in "Empire," $3,500 to stage the attack.
THE ALLEGED LIE SMOLLETT TOLD
Smollett had alleged that he had been attacked by two white men in ski masks, who doused him with bleach and placed a noose around his neck while spewing racist and homophobic insults.
GABBY IS ONE OF THE FEW POSTING HER SUPPORT
Gabby, who had lasted posted a clip from Smollett's first concert after his supposed attack, has confirmed her belief in her friend's honesty.
She is one of the very few, as Smollett's former supporters express their anger at his deception and accuse him of discrediting victims of real hate crimes to further his career.
WAS JUSSIE SMOLLETT INVOLVED IN THE THREATENING LETTER?
Before the January 29 alleged attack, Smollett had reported receiving a threatening letter "Empire" set.
The FBI is now investigating the letter the actor received and if it is proved to be a hoax, Smollett may face up to 5 years in federal prison for Mail Fraud.
This is in addition to up to 3 years in a state penitentiary if he is found guilty of falsifying the police report.
