Bow Wow Shows Love & Appreciation to the Mother of His 7-Year-Old Daughter in Moving Post

Following a physical altercation between Bow Wow and his ex-girlfriend, the rapper recently gave a shoutout to another ex, who is also the mother of his only child.

Bow Wow, 31, took to Instagram on Tuesday, paying tribute to dancer Joie Chavis, the mother of his seven-year-old daughter, Shai Moss.

Alongside a video of Joie dancing to a rap track, the "Bounce with Me" rapper revealed he appreciated her for accepting him as he is.

Bow Wow’s lengthy caption read:

“This woman right here is my dawg! We never fight fuss none of that she never asks me for NOTHING! I know most bm [Baby Mamas] and bd’s [Baby Daddies] don’t get along but I knew the typa man I was and was gone be and she knew too hahaha (playboy). She accepted me for who I am and I accepted her. Hell of a mom to my little shai shai. Couldn’t ask for a better woman to raise my princess! We fam 4 life.”

“Appreciate your kids’ mom today. Break the narrative. Fellas imagine if we had they [sic] job. Understand what the moms have to go through,” he added as a piece of advice to other baby daddies.

Joie did not disclose her son’s exact birth date but she shared an adorable photo on Christmas day.

The rapper’s glowing tribute to his ex had many followers wondering if there was reconciliation in the works. One Instagram user asked the big question, but Bow Wow wasted no time shutting it down.

“No. I’m not relationship material,” he confessed. “I respect her and appreciate the great job she does. Don’t have to be mother’s day for me to acknowledge the great these moms do.”

Bow Wow (birth name Shad Moss) and Joie were briefly at loggerheads after the birth of their daughter in 2011, but it appears they quickly worked things out and have since been co-parenting Shai peacefully.

Last December, Joie welcomed her second child, a son named Hendrix with rapper Future. Joie did not disclose her son’s exact birth date, but she shared an adorable photo on Christmas day and another of Shai posing with her little brother for a photoshoot.

Before Joie, Future already had four kids with four different women, including “Level Up” singer Ciara, who is now married to football player Russell Wilson.

Meanwhile, earlier this month, Bow Wow and another ex-girlfriend, Kiyomi Leslie, were arrested and charged with battery after the two got into a fight that left them with visible minor injuries.
