Police Reveal New Details on What Caused T.I.'s Sister Precious' Car Crash That Led to Her Death

New details have emerged about the car crash that led to the death of T.I’s sister Precious Harris, including the fact that there was another person in the vehicle with her at the time.

Previous accounts said that the car crash triggered an asthma attack in Precious, but according to an Atlanta Police Department traffic accident report obtained by TMZ, it was the other way around.

The report reveals that Precious was driving T.I.'s 2013 Dodge Avenger with Kairi Chapman, the rapper’s grandniece when she suffered an asthma attack.

Kairi told the police that Precious passed out at the wheel and veered into a telephone pole. The officer who responded to the situation revealed that Precious was unconscious when he got there. She was breathing but was also beginning to foam at the mouth.

THE FATAL ACCIDENT

Paramedics eventually came to transport Precious to the hospital and treated Kairi who complained of chest pains. According to the report, Kairi did not sustain any major injuries, but the vehicle suffered damage to the front bumper, front hood, and front windshield. The front driver's side and front passenger side airbags also went off during the fatal collision.

Precious would eventually spend a little over a week in the ICU before succumbing to death on February 22. She was 66 and survived by three children: Kamaya Chapman, Avis Chapman-Reese and Kareem “Plug” Chapman.

HER DAUGHTER'S GRIEF

Following her mother’s death, Kamaya paid tribute to Precious in a series of emotional posts on Instagram.

In one of the posts, Kamaya laid bare her broken heart as she described Precious as her “best friend on earth” who was now her “beautiful angel in heaven.”

“Mama girl you know ima miss you. I love you so much,” she confessed further. “I’m so heartbroken but the way you looked so @ peace this past week has confirmed that you are resting. No more asthma attacks. Damn but baby I am going to miss you.”

T.I.'S TRIBUTES

T.I, 38, has also been eulogizing his late sister, celebrating who she was and the impact she had on their entire family.

“I was such a lucky man because you were my sister,” he shared in one of his many posts dedicated to Precious. “You were there every step of the way; always helping me become my best self. I/We could not have done it without you.”

FRIENDS & FAMILY MOURN

In another tribute video, the “Dime Trap” rapper wrote:

“Still Loving you from this life to the next sis... We’re all better in some way because of your life. Now it’s on to bigger and better things for you. We’ll be just fine...Because of YOU! You’re Truly More than a woman to me sis. Love you.”

T.I’s wife Tiny, their kids, and other celebrities have also paid tribute to Precious extensively on social media.
