'RHOA' Star Peter Thomas Reportedly Arrested in Miami for Alleged Check Fraud
Cynthia Bailey's ex-husband was arrested for issuing counterfeit checks while set to open a club in Miami. He is currently in jail without bond pending extradition to Louisiana where the case against him was filed.
Cynthia Bailey’s ex-husband Peter Thomas is sitting in a Miami jail for check fraud. The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star was reportedly arrested on Friday at the Miami Airport and is currently being held without bail.
Thomas was detained due to a warrant issued against him in Louisiana for writing counterfeit checks. He was reportedly in Miami because he’s opening a Miami Beach nightclub there.
The 58-year-old has yet to comment on his arrest and is expected to stay in jail at Miami-Dade county pending his extradition to Louisiana.
Thomas is more popularly known as Bailey’s ex-husband who married the model on the show’s third season in 2011. They separated in 2016 but they remain friends to this day. In fact, he would occasionally appear on “RHOA” due to his closeness not just to Bailey but to their daughter, Noelle Robinson.
Thomas was also famous on the show for threatening Kenya Moore’s ex-boyfriend Matt Jordan with a knife. They were on a radio interview when the two got into a brawl. Thomson claimed he pulled a knife at Jordan in self-defense.
Shortly after their divorce, Bailey swore she would never marry again. But that changed earlier this year when she declared on “Watch What Happens Live” that she'll be marrying the current man she’s dating, Marc Hill.
The pair began dating publicly in October after being introduced to each other by Steve Harvey. Hill, who has two daughters from a previous relationship lives in Los Angeles. Bailey revealed that in the event that she marries the sportscaster, she’ll be staying in Los Angeles more often than her hometown in Atlanta.
