The retired basketball legend has been doing many things that interest him recently, from guesting on TV shows, being a sports analyst, DJ-ing, and now, he's ventured into something new again by being an entrepreneur.

Just a few days before his 47th birthday, Shaq opened up his own restaurant in Downtown L.A. Live, just adjacent to the Staples Center. Many of his celebrity friends and colleagues dropped by to support him, including Paul Pierce, Tiffany Haddish, Rajon Rondo, Adam Sandler, and Chauncey Billups.

Shaq's restaurant features "southern hospitality with modern flair," with the menu ranging from shrimp and grits to corn pudding.

In his menu were two unique burgers, one named after him and another named after his teammate Kobe Bryant, whom he was with in the LA Lakers from 1996 to 2004. Of course, Kobe's burger was made with Kobe beef from Japan.

His bar menu includes a wide range of cocktails, craft beers, and an impressive wine menu.

There to share this accomplishment with him was his ex-wife, Shaunie O'Neal, whom he remains to have an amicable relationship with. Together they share four children named Shareef, Shaqir, Amirah, and Me'arah, who were also present in the restaurant opening.

Shaunie and Shaq might have gone their separate ways, but they remain to co-parent their children, being there for every milestone and every special occasion together.

With the NBA season in full swing, Shaq hopes his fans and supporters could come to visit his restaurant during or in-between games, especially because of its proximity to the Staples Center, home court of his beloved Los Angeles Lakers.
