Police: Man Charged in Brutal Murder of 9-Year-Old Trinity Love Jones Was Dating Girl’s Mother

The mother of 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones, who was found dead in a duffel bag near Hacienda Heights, California was dating her alleged killer.

The investigation into the death of 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones’s death has led to the arrest of a male suspect.

Emiel Lamar Hunt, 38, has been arrested by the Los Angeles County Sheriff and has been charged with murder.

“It’s more than just the mother and the boyfriend. We have to get to the bottom of it. We need justice. We need to figure it out. It wasn’t supposed to happen like this to no one. Everybody deserves an answer.”

THE ALLEGED KILLER WAS DATING TRINITY'S MOTHER

Hunt was arrested on March 9, 2019, after investigators found him sleeping in his car in the vicinity of San Diego International Airport.

The man, who has a history of child abuse of which he had been convicted in San Diego County in 2005, was dating his victims' mother, Taquesta Graham.

Hunt has been accused of involvement in the 9-year-old's death, and if convicted he can face up to from 50 years to life in prison

TRINITY'S MOTHER IS A REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER

In a horrifying development, it has now come to light that Trinity's mother, Taquesta Graham, is a registered sex offender and was convicted of inducing a minor female into prostitution in 2009.

Her record is available under Megan's Law, which obliges law enforcement authorities to make information on sex offenders available to the public.

HUNT'S ARRAIGNMENT SET FOR APRIL

Hunt appeared before a Pomona judge on March 12, 2019, where a $2 million bail was set. He will be arraigned on charges of murder, and enter a plea at a hearing scheduled for April 16.

MOTHER HAS NOT BEEN ARRESTED

Although several sources claimed that Graham had also been arrested, so far, she has not been accused of any involvement in Trinity's death.

Only Hunt has been accused of being instrumental in the 9-year-old's death, and if convicted he can face up to from 50 years to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

THE LITTLE GIRL IN THE DUFFEL BAG

The horrific story of Trinity Love Jones' murder began when County workers found the body of a child stuffed in a bag near an equestrian trail in Hacienda Heights, California on March 5, 2019.

Police described the body as belonging to a thin African American child, 4 feet 5 inches tall and weighing 55 pounds. The dead child was later identified as 9-year-old Trinity Love Jones.

The investigation led to the arrest of her mother's boyfriend, Emiel Lamar Hunt, 38. Hunt has been charged with Trinity's murder, and will be arraigned in April.
