Chance the Rapper Announces He and New Wife Kirsten Corley Are Expecting Baby No. 2
Chance the Rapper is set to become a dad for the second time! Less than a week after tying the knot with his longtime girlfriend Kirsten Corley, the rapper has announced that they’re expecting a new arrival.
Taking to Instagram on March 14, Chance, whose real name is Chancelor Bennett, shared the good news with his over nine million followers.
“We pregnant again,” he announced. “It’s a girl. Jesus Christ. We love you, God.”
Further revealing when his family is due to welcome its fourth member, Chance wrote in the caption:
“New baby droppin September”
Corley also shared the good news on her private Instagram page. In a photo reposted by The Shade Room, the latest Mrs. Bennett posed against the backdrop of the ocean in an orange bikini and cradled her growing bump.
The “Coloring Book” rapper revealed how he met his wife at his mother’s office party.
“Oh yeah, we’re pregnant,” she shared in the caption.
Chance and Corley welcomed their first daughter Kensli in September 2015, and over the weekend, held their wedding ceremony.
The Chicago Tribune reported that the couple made their union official in a civil ceremony last December, but on March 9, they said their vows before friends and family at the Pelican Hill resort in Newport Beach, California.
Chance, 25, looked dapper in a white tuxedo with black bow-tie while his bride dazzled in a strapless white gown. She swept her hair into a loose knot at the back, leaving a few tendrils loose. Corley, 25, also sported nude makeup and kept it simple in terms of jewelry, wearing only a pair of tiny, silver earrings.
The décor consisted of dozens of white roses lining the aisle and altar at the outdoor ceremony, and according to E! News, the bride and groom walked down the aisle to the performance of a string quartet.
Chance earlier shared photos from the star-studded wedding that had 150 guests in attendance, including celebrity pals like fellow rapper Kanye West, his wife Kim Kardashian, comedian Dave Chappelle, and gospel artist Kirk Franklin.
A few days to his wedding, the “Coloring Book” rapper revealed how he met his wife at his mother’s office party when they were both nine years old.
Recalling how he couldn’t speak to Corley that day, Chance wrote:
“This wasn’t the time or place. Not just because it wasn’t my party, not because it was their moment to dance, not even cause I was nervous about dancing in front of folks. It’s cause I knew I was gonna marry that girl. 16 years later it’s happening this [weekend] is the time, and the place is my wedding.”
Chance and Corley began dating in 2013 and split in 2016 after welcoming their daughter a year before. The pair reconciled in 2017, however, and the rapper proposed at a Fourth of July party in 2018.
Congratulations to the Bennetts!
