Man Installs Naked Mannequins in Yard as Revenge for a Neighbor Who Forced Him to Shorten a Fence

A resident of Sta. Rosa, California received a notice to lower his existing fence height after his neighbor anonymously tipped the city officials about the violation, and after he complied he made a scene of naked mannequins on display to make a statement to his nosy neighbor.

Jason Windus built a fence tall enough to keep his large dogs safe in his yard. He was forced to cut it down to a height that was aligned with city ordinance, because the fence blocked the view of drivers turning the corner, making it a safety concern.

In what he considers as a humorous revenge statement, Windus created a display of five naked mannequins on the now exposed yard, with a sign that read,

“Reserved seat for the nosy neighbor that complained about my fence to the city.”

Windus acquired the mannequins on a recent job and decided to keep them, he owns a moving company. He said,

“I couldn’t bring myself to throw them away. I was going to use them for target practice.”

He claims that his decision to create the display was his way of making light of the situation.
