'Drunk' Wendy Williams Rushed to Hospital after News of Husband’s Alleged Mistress Giving Birth
Wendy Williams was reportedly rushed to the hospital after she was found drunk, following the news that her husband just welcomed a child with his alleged mistress.
Last week, Williams, 54, shocked fans with news that she’s been living in a sober house while dealing with her addiction issues, and now it seems the TV host has had a relapse that led to hospitalization.
TREATED AT THE HOSPITAL
According to Daily Mail, Williams checked out of the sober living house in New York on Monday afternoon and was eventually found drunk.
“She was in a bad way and disappeared from the studio after her show Monday. She went back to the sober house only to check herself out and decided to start drinking,” a source told the outlet.

The “Wendy Williams Show” host was then reportedly taken to the hospital to sober up. She was given a banana bag, which, according to PEOPLE, is a bag of IV fluids containing thiamine, folic acid, magnesium and sulfate to treat vitamin and electrolyte deficiencies in patients with chronic alcohol use.
By Tuesday morning, however, Williams was back on her eponymous show without any indications of her previous ordeal.
AN EMOTIONAL CONFESSION
Only a week ago, the TV diva opened up to viewers about living at a sober house in Queens where she’s been working with a 24-hour sober coach.
"Only (one person) knows about this -- not my parents, nobody. Nobody knew because I look so glamorous out here. After I finish my appointments, I am driven by my 24-hour sober coach back to a home that I live in the tri-state (area) with a bunch of smelly boys who have become my family.”
"We talk and read and talk and read, and then I get bored with them,” Williams added. “Doors locked by 10 p.m., lights out by 10 p.m., so I go to my room and stare at the ceiling and fall asleep to come here and see you. So, that is my truth."
HER HUSBAND STAYS MUTE ON CHEATING ALLEGATIONS
Following Williams’ admission, her husband of 21 years, Kevin Hunter, spoke with ET about his wife’s addiction struggles and how they’re dealing with it as a family.
“We are moving forward with working on her sobriety and doing the work to help others, not just ourselves,” Hunter, who is also Williams’ manager, said.
While Hunter, 47, appears to be the ultimate supportive husband, he has refused to address mounting infidelity allegations, the most recent being that he welcomed a daughter on March 20 with Sharina Hudson, his alleged mistress of over ten years.

WILLIAMS IS REPORTEDLY "TORN"
Per Daily Mail, Williams’ relapse is not unconnected with the birth of her husband’s love-child, and even though she’s doing everything possible to maintain a calm outward appearance, the TV host is said to be “torn up” about the situation.
Earlier on Monday, the same day she was reportedly found drunk, Williams was spotted without her wedding ring. The sighting came three weeks after she assured viewers that her wedding ring “ain't going anywhere—not in this lifetime."

If these reports are anything to go by, all is not well in the Williams-Hunter household, and we’ll have to wait and see if the daytime television queen eventually decides to address them.
