Mya-Lecia Naylor, 'Millie Inbetween' Star, Dead at 16
Acclaimed BBC Children's TV actress, Mya Lecia Naylor's manager confirmed that the teen passed away earlier this month after she collapsed.
The 16-year-old star was a "much-loved part of the BBC Children's family and a hugely talented actress, singer, and dancer."
Alice Webb, the director of Children's BBC, said Naylor "shone so brightly onscreen," and that her death has left her co-stars "distraught."
Webb added: "It's unthinkable that she won't be part of our journey going forward. [Naylor was] a real role model for her young fans".
Naylor shot to fame when she was cast as Fran in two seasons of "Millie Inbetween." She also had minor roles in "Index Zero" and "The Last Weekend."
In addition, Naylor appeared in 26 episodes of "Tatis' Hotel." If not for her untimely passing, Naylor would have began filming of the series "The Witcher" later this year.
The BBC Children's team understand that the news is unsettling and urged their young fans to contact Childline on 0800 11 11 if they feel the need to talk about it.
