The “Criminal Minds” star was a former male model who hosted the “Soul Train” for almost five years. He is best known for his long-standing roles in shows like “The Young and the Restless” and “Criminal Minds.”

Born in 1970, Moore runs his own fashion line and gives back to charity. Moore is an avid dog lover who had two adorable bulldogs named Shug and Moe. Sadly, his beloved dogs died just days apart.

Not only did Moore lose his dogs, but he also recently lost his close friend Kristoff St. John, whom he had a long working relationship with.

Moore posted a heartfelt tribute to the “Young & the Restless” star who died untimely at the age of 52.

I’LL NEVER FORGET!!!! You embraced me, taught me, danced with me, and rooted for me... we challenged each other and we won TOGETHER!!!! RIP my FRIEND and BROTHER!! ....... I’ll NEVER forget!!!! ........ KRISTOFF ST JOHN (1966-2019),” he wrote.

In an interview, Moore shared what it was like to lose his beloved friend who was more like a brother to him.

“I’m raised an only child, but Kristoff is truly the closest thing to a brother and a brother’s love and a brother’s mentorship that I’ve ever known,” Moore shared.

St. John was more than just a friend to Moore--he acted as a support system for him when Moore was starting out his acting career.

“He didn’t have to embrace me the way he did. When I came in and was trying to find my way and he saw how scared I was, he saw how nervous I was,” Moore says. “He saw my six pack and all that, but he just saw me and he embraced me like a brother. If he hadn’t embraced me, I would have never got my sure footing in the beginning days,” he revealed.

Moore said his life would have gone off on a “very different tangent” and a “very different lane” if it wasn’t for Kristoff.

“I will always thank The Young & the Restless for taking a chance on me so that I can have this career. Kristoff was there in the trenches with me. Victoria Rowell, Tonya Lee Williams but Kristoff, day to day to day, he rooted for me,” he continued. “He didn’t have to. He didn’t have to, and many wouldn’t, but he rooted for me; he helped me; he held my hand; he said, ‘Stick with me, bruh, I’m going to show you the way and then you do what you’re doing.’“

While St.John’s death was a massive shocker, Moore hopes his family will find the strength to move on with his beautiful memories.
