Here's a Possible Reason Why Meghan Markle Decided to Hide Her Baby's Birth Date

The fans and supporters of the Royal Family may have to wait a bit longer to see the first child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will keep the details of their royal baby’s delivery private until the family has celebrated the event in private, a Buckingham Palace statement revealed.

With the announcement, the Sussexes have opted to move away from the tradition followed by by the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, and, previously, by Princess Diana as well.

Both the royals introduced their babies to the world on the steps outside the private Lindo Wing at St. Mary’s Hospital, Londal immediately after giving birth.

Meanwhile, the Palace statement revealed that Markle and Harry will only introduce their child to their wellwishers when they are ready. They are set to take part in a photo shoot at the Windsor Castle a few days later following the birth.

The Sussexes will be avoiding the recent tradition, but will also be following a rather older one. They have also announced that Markle will be giving birth at Windsor Castle’s Frogmore Cottage after having recently moved there.

Meanwhile, Ingrid Seward, the royal author, suggested that the royal couple might have opted for such privacy because the Lindo Wing “has become too much of a circus” in the recent times.

He also argued that it is “completely understandable” the Sussexes would want more privacy as the couple has always faced heavy media scrutiny ever since their relationship first became public.

“People are delighted that Meghan is doing things differently,” Seward stated. “She was under no pressure to do things the same.”

In the statement released by the Palace, Markle and Harry also express their gratitude toward their fans and supporters throughout the UK as well as the world.

“The Duke and Duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family,” the statement concluded.

Being a royalty comes with its own set of rules and responsibilities, which is true in the case of pregnancies as well.

Previously, report emerged about several rules that Markle is expected to follow during her pregnancy.
