Hoda Kotb Would Never Say No to Adopting Another Child
"Today" host Hoda Kotb has recently opened about-about the possibility of adopting a third child, just a few weeks after welcoming daughter Hope to the family.
During an exclusive interview with People, the 54-year-old confessed that she would never close the door to a third adoption, especially because she was raised in a family with thee children.
According to Kotb, she wasn't sure that her boyfriend, Joel Schiffman, would want to adopt another child after getting Haley in 2017, but everything worked out for the best.
THE RIGHT PERSON BY HER SIDE
The host explained that, having already a grown-up daughter and a brand-new job, Schiffman would probably not want another baby, but that he cried once they put Hope in his arms.
Kotb said:
“One thing I do pretty well in life is I pick great people. I picked him, he picked me. I thought to myself, in that moment, that’s everything, that’s it.”
BOUNCING BACK FROM CANCER
According to the proud mother-of-two, each time she brought one of her daughters home, her "heart expanded," and now they have grown even tighter as a family.
Unfortunately, like many women around the world, Kotb was unable to bring a child into the world following a fierce battle with breast cancer in 2007, which left her believing that she would never become a mother.
Now, with that terrible chapter of her life behind her, Kotb can say that she is in her happy place as she has two beautiful baby daughters and a boyfriend who is always there for her.
