Shaq O'Neal's Ex Shaunie Marks Daughter's 13th Birthday with Cute Photos
The O’Neal’s celebrated their youngest daughter's birthday last week, and Shaunie took to Instagram to send out a heartfelt message to the budding teen. Me’Arah O’Neal, the youngest daughter of world-famous basketball star, Shaquille O’Neal clocked 13 marking her step into teenagehood.
Her elated TV personality mother couldn't keep the joyous moment to herself taking to Instagram to congratulate Me’Arah on the much-awaited occasion. She shared three photos, and all have her sweet daughter showing off her swag while posing.
Standing at about 6’ 3”, Me’Arah is that cute girl everyone envies for nearly everything. She especially puts her tall height to good use by being a basketballer just like her dad!
She is one girl to be proud of, and her parents sure know this! Via her Instagram profile, @shaunieoneal5, her former film marketer mama shared the photos and also penned down a lengthy caption expressing great joy at how fast all of her children seem to be growing. She wrote:
“Happy birthday to my beautiful baby girl @_.mearahoneal._ She’s officially a teenager!!! (I’m not sure how I feel having all teenagers and a 21 yr old.)”
The doting mother went on to reveal that Me’Arah had been waiting excitedly for the occasion saying:
“You couldn’t wait to turn 13, and now it's here gurrrrl party time! I love you so much; you make me extremely proud to be your Mom. #13goingon30 #partygirl #dancingqueen.”
Although long separated, there is no arguing the fact that Shaunie and Shaquille did make some beautiful babies. The pair tied the knot late 2002, but the marriage didn't go smoothly with the award-winning sports star filing for divorce some five years later.
They got back together only to part ways in 2009 choosing to co-parent their five children. So far, they have been doing a fantastic job raising the children. Shaquille is mainly known for his strict parenting rules.
During an appearance on "Good Morning America," the buffy athlete revealed that although born into a life of great privileges, he makes sure to monitor the spending habits of his kids.
“My motto is you have to get three degrees to touch some of my cheese.” - Shaquille
He also once revealed the reason he takes necessary measures when it comes to the children's education.
“You can have all the money in the world, but if you don’t have education, you can’t make it grow.” - Shaquille
Well, who would have imagined the sportsman would be such a disciplinarian when it comes to parenting?!
