Drive-By Shooting at Studio Where Offset Was Recording
Award-winning rap star Offset barely escaped death when unknown men drove by shooting at a studio where he was present recording.
It has been very hellish reading about the high occurrence of shootings around. Now, it seems celebrities are even more in danger having had two famous rappers, XXX Tentacion, and Nipsey Hussle reported casualties of gun attacks. The most recent is Nipsey Hussle’s; news hit that he died from complications of getting shot while standing in front of his clothing store.
The tragic occurrences have made the subject a rather sensitive one on media platforms. Yesterday, "TMZ" released reports that famous American trap musician, Offset was the target of a drive-by shooting.
THE ATTACK OCCURRED IN ATLANTA
According to reports, the incident took place at the Crossover Entertainment Group studio where Offset, who is a member of the three-person rap group “Migos,” was working at the time. It was a rather close shave as the rapper had just reportedly stepped out for fresh air when the shooting started.
THE FATHER OF FOUR BARELY ESCAPED
Surveillance attained by TMZ shows a man, who remains unidentified, hanging out of the passenger window of a passing car rain bullets in the studio's direction. In a frenzied response, people present inside the studio immediately sought safety in an adjoining room until the shooting stopped.
The shocking incident happened sometime around 9 pm on Wednesday, May 8. Authorities were informed by witnesses that, although absent when they got there, Offset had indeed been present at the time of the attack.
One of the witnesses even went on to disclose that it seemed the award-winning star had been the target. TMZ reports that authorities still haven't reached Offset since the incident but intend to interrogate him as the investigation progresses.
THERE ARE NO REPORTS OF CASUALTIES
So far, there have been no reports about any serious casualty with authorities only receiving witness accounts of one person, which remains at large, getting hit in the leg. The attack, however, resulted in some severe damage to 3 vehicles parked outside the studio and at least one apartment window.
OFFSET HAS HAD A RECENT RUN IN WITH THE LAW
Police are yet to ascertain the motives behind the shooting, and it mainly seems to be a wrong time for Offset who recently had a run-in with the law. A warrant for his arrest was released in Georgia on the grounds of “criminal damage to property” after a young man came forward to accuse the “Ric Flair Drip” rapper of forcefully knocking his phone out of his hands.
