Porsha Williams Reveals Baby Pilar's Face & She's Adorable (Photos)
Nearly two months after becoming a new mom, Porsha Williams has finally unveiled her daughter’s full face while opening up about her parenting struggles and near-decline into post-partum depression.
Fans of the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star can now get a full look at baby Pilar “PJ” Jhena after weeks of gushing over the infant on social media.
As part of an exclusive interview with People Magazine, Williams shared several photos of herself and her fiancé, Dennis McKinley posing with their new bundle of joy.
It was something I was pretty nonchalant about in the beginning ~ Porsha Williams
In one family portrait also shared to McKinley’s Instagram page, the reality star cuddles up to her man while cradling baby PJ in one arm as the entire family looks splendid in white.
Williams chose a maxi dress with plunging neckline, McKinley sported a patterned shirt and pants, and baby PJ enjoyed a nap in her onesie and matching headband.
MOMMY'S JOY
Williams also shared another image of her daughter in a bejeweled white outfit while getting emotional in the caption.
“My heart out of my body!” she wrote about Pilar Jhena. “My entire life has been made!”
Other photos also show McKinley kissing his daughter on the cheek and watching her sleep.
PARENTING CHALLENGES
Williams opened up in the PEOPLE interview that, besides finding her cesarean section experience difficult, she was devastated to discover she couldn’t produce enough milk to breastfeed PJ.
“It was something I was pretty nonchalant about in the beginning,” Williams told the outlet. “Like, ‘Okay, if I can breastfeed, that’s fine. If not, I’ll put her on formula.’ It was that simple.”
PAINFUL DISCOVERY
The first-time mom added:
“But once she got here and you’re looking at your daughter, you want to give her the world. You want her to have everything that’s the best for her. So it was really difficult for me to come to the realization that I couldn’t pump enough milk for her.”
NEW MINDSET
Williams further revealed that the situation nearly sent her into post-partum depression, but she scaled through with support from her fiancé and some friends.
“I just had to come to terms and be okay with it that I wasn’t able to breastfeed. …You still are a great mommy, and you still love her as much as anybody can love her child,” she said. “And it’s all right. She’s going to be okay. She’s going to get everything she needs.”
Williams and McKinley welcomed their daughter, Pilar Jhena on March 22 and the lovebirds’ journey to parenthood was chronicled on an “RHOA” spinoff special, “Porsha’s Having a Baby,” that wrapped up yesterday.
