“Look at God! We are overjoyed to say, we saw the doctors for the results of Gregg’s Pet Scan he took last week! Test show, wait for It.....WE ARE CANCER FREE!!! Yes God!”

GREGG ASKS FOR PRAYERS

Before heading out for the Pet scan last week, Gregg reached out to fans and well-wishers on social media for prayers.

“I thank you for your prayers all the time and especially today as I take this scan shortly,” wrote the businessman alongside a photo of himself wearing a “Cancer Sucks” hat. “To God be the glory and may His will take place in heaven and on earth. I go in this morning claiming victory as I don’t know defeat. My God shall supply all my needs.”

MAKING PROGRESS

One month before the scan, NeNe had also celebrated Gregg’s milestone of completing six months of chemotherapy, openly admitting that her husband’s battle with cancer had been “a long emotional ride for our entire family!”

The couple first went public with news of Gregg’s battle against cancer last June and on the “RHOA” Season 11 premiere in November, NeNe further revealed that the diagnosis was stage 3 colon cancer.

TRAUMATIC JOURNEY

Since then, the reality star has remained vocal about how difficult it’s been to act as caretaker for her sick husband and how she can’t stand his lousy attitude; at some point, she even called him out for being “mean, grouchy and evil.”

Earlier this year, Gregg also owned up to maltreating his wife and publicly begged for her forgiveness in a revealing Instagram post.

TROUBLE IN PARADISE

During the “RHOA” Season 11 reunion that aired in April, however, NeNe implied that their marriage troubles could not entirely be blamed on cancer.

“Gregg is not a walk in the park. Not even if he didn’t have cancer, he is not a walk in the park,” she said.

'ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE'

The 51-year-old also suggested that she’s still considering divorce and is only with Gregg because of the cancer diagnosis.

“I can’t tell you anything that I’m going to do. I feel like I have been pushed up against a wall and I’m coming out as ‘no.’ … Anything is possible, we just have to see. …It would be easy to make a decision about divorcing Gregg if he didn’t have cancer. I don’t want to live my life unhappy.”

NeNe and Gregg first tied the knot in 1997, but that journey ended in divorce 14 years later. Two years later, in 2013, they reconciled and walked down the aisle a second time.
