On Monday morning, Duchess Kate joined local school children to visit her garden at the Chelsea Flower Show. For this occasion, the Royal dressed down to get her hands dirty.

Duchess Kate, 37, wore a white blouse, camel-colored wide leg culottes, and white sneakers for her visit to the Chelsea Flower Show. She was joined by a group of local schoolchildren for a fireside chat and outdoor activities at her Back To Nature Garden.

The Queen was set to visit on Monday evening ahead of the show’s public opening tomorrow. Kate hoped her garden would inspire families “to get outside” and “enjoy nature.”

It features a tree house, waterfall, rustic den, a campfire, tree stumps, stepping stones, and a hollow log for children to play in. The Duchess appeared to be enjoying herself as she roasted marshmallows, climbed a tree house, and helped make boats from reeds with the children.

Her garden was co-created with landscape architects Andree Davies and Adam White. The Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) was also involved in the venture.

On Sunday, Kate and Prince William had the chance to give the garden a trial run. Their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis all spent the day in her garden.

The children were given almost an hour to play in the enthralling space. Six images taken by Matt Porteous were released by Kensington Palace.

George and his younger sister were photographed while dangling their feet over a stream. Louis was photographed while running along a wooden path carrying a branch as his father smiled as he looked on.

The tree house in the garden weighs nine tons. It was accompanied by a police escort from Bristol to London. The tree house is complete with a swing rope which the Royal children had a chance to play on, including their mother.

People have been encouraged to interact with the natural environment which features a "multi-sensory" green and blue plant scheme. In previous interviews, the Duchess has shared that she had "fond memories" of being outdoors as a child.

This was a passion which she hoped to pass onto her own children. She’s spent almost five days working on the garden which she’s been involved in from the beginning.
