Rude Passenger Wouldn’t Stop Yapping on the Train
Public places have become a nightmare with rude people having loud conversations on their mobile devices when you're just trying to enjoy a cup of coffee with a mate or do the crossword puzzle in the park.
Have you ever wanted to get involved in somebody else's public cellphone conversation? Maybe you overheard one half of a fight and you just want to hear the other side before you make up your mind who is right? Well, here's a funny story that might make you get involved yourself.
After a tiring day at work, a commuter settled down in her seat on the train and closed her eyes, settling in for a much-needed nap.
As the train rolled out of the station, the guy sitting next to her pulled out his cell phone and started talking in a loud voice.
“Hi, sweetheart. It’s Eric. I’m on the train.”
“Yes, I know it’s the six thirty and not the four thirty, but I had a long meeting.”
“No, honey, not with that blonde from the accounts office. It was with the boss.”
“No sweetheart, you’re the only one in my life.”
“Yes, I’m sure, cross my heart.”
Fifteen minutes later, he was still talking loudly and still declaring his innocence and expressing his love. Annoyingly so.
Eventually, the young woman sitting next to him had had enough.
She leaned over and said into the phone,
“Eric, hang up the phone and come back to bed.”
Red-faced and absolutely shocked, he quickly canceled the call, got off his phone and didn’t say a single word for the rest of the train ride.
Eric doesn’t use his cell phone in public any longer. Be like Eric.
Did that story have you in stitches? Oh to be a fly on the wall at Eric's house that evening! Remember to share this story with your friends.
