Kevin Hunter Reportedly Accuses Wendy Williams of 'Poisoning' Relationship with Son

Wendy Williams’ estranged husband Kevin Hunter is accusing her of damaging his relationship with their son, Kevin Hunter Jr., sources claim.

Earlier this week, Kevin Jr. was arrested after getting into a fight with his father and punching him in the face.

Now, according to insiders speaking to TMZ, Kevin Sr. fears that the recent fight has worsened their relationship and is pointing fingers at Wendy.

The argument soon degenerated into a fight, however, and Kevin Sr. put his son into a headlock.

The sources further disclosed that Kevin Sr. is vocal about his accusations, claiming the talk show host is poisoning their son’s mind toward him and ruining their relationship further.

Kevin Sr., 46, and Kevin Jr., 18, were reportedly very close until things changed after Wendy filed for divorce last month.

The TV producer is said to have reached out to his son several times, only to get the cold shoulder and one-word replies to his lengthy texts.

This comes mere days after Kevin Jr. was arrested and charged with simple assault for punching his father in the face at a store parking lot in New Jersey.

TMZ first broke the story, reporting that Kevin Jr. and Kevin Sr. got into an argument over the latter’s demand for spousal support.

The argument soon degenerated into a fight, however, and Kevin Sr. put his son into a headlock. Kevin Jr. reportedly responded by punching his dad in the face.

A spokeswoman for the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office in New Jersey provided more details about the incident, revealing that it took place at 9:50 pm on Tuesday in West Orange.

Kevin Jr. was not taken to the county jail and was processed and released by the West Orange Police Department the same evening.

In a statement to TMZ, the TV producer who was recently fired as Wendy’s manager and her show executive producer, said:

“I love my son very much and I will not be pursuing this matter legally. Things are not always how they appear.”

Wendy and Kevin Jr. have since been spotted holding hands as they headed to an event on Thursday, two days after the arrest. Both mother and son have not addressed the incident.

Wendy’s divorce filing came last month amid reports that her husband of over two decades welcomed a child with his alleged longtime mistress.

The Emmy-nominated TV queen has since fired Kevin Sr. as her manager and from his executive producer role on her eponymous daytime TV show.
