Tamron Hall on Breastfeeding Struggles with Baby Moses

Tamron Hall opened up about her life as a new mom to baby son Moses.

Tamron Hall's baby son Moses is now one-month old, and the TV host is loving every second of her journey as a new mom - although she admits to sometimes feeling unsure and insecure.

Tamron gave birth to her first child on April 24, 2019, at the age of 48, and she confessed it hasn't been as easy as she'd hoped.

“I went into this thinking, ‘Breastfeeding is my goal, but if it doesn’t work, fine. There’s formula. I’m going to look at this rationally.’ ” Tameron Hall

ANXIOUS NEW MOM TAMRON HALL TALKS ABOUT BREASTFEEDING

Tameron revealed that as an expectant mother she had looked forward to breastfeeding her baby, and had told herself that if she couldn't, she'd feed him formula.

Then, just weeks after his birth, Tameron realized her body wasn't producing enough milk for Moses' needs.

Tameron advises new moms to reach out for help, ask questions, and not be afraid to confess their fears.

Tameron was in despair, and her self-esteem took a hit when she realized she couldn't produce enough milk to feed her baby until she got some advice from other moms of young babies, who revealed they supplemented breastfeeding with formula.

TAKING COMFORT FROM A COMMUNITY OF MOMS

Instead of feeling inadequate and insecure, comparing herself to other "More successful" moms, Tameron has discovered she is part of a new community.

“You see how afraid we are of being judged, and then when I would get one-on-one with my friends, we’d all peel back those masks that we put on as women, as moms, and suddenly we’re all the same,” she said.

Tameron advises new moms to reach out for help, ask questions, and not be afraid to confess their fears.

“A mentally healthy mom is best, and this was breaking me down I started calling all my friends who have breastfed, and a couple of them confessed to me, ‘Listen, at night I gave formula so I couldsleep.’ I’m like, ‘You’re just telling me this now? I’m about to knock back a bottle of Jack Daniels!’ “ she revealed.

Tameron Hall will be taking on yet another new challenge with a talk show on ABC which is scheduled to premiere in September.

Tameron Hall and her husband music executive Steven Greener welcomed their first child, Moses, on April 24, 2019.

Tameron only revealed her pregnancy when she was 32 weeks along, and proudly showed off her baby bump on Instagram~.

When Moses was born, Tameron posted a photo of herself holding her newborn captioned:

'We're in constant prayer, so if you pray, add us to your list; if you meditate, send calmness our way'“Moses & Mama!!” she gushed in the caption. “I can’t wait to introduce y’all to my #sonshine.
