Fans of the 80s hilarious comedy franchise "Police Academy" will remember Michael Winslow as Larvell "Motor Mouth" Jones.

Winslow made a career out of his ability to mimic practically any sound and was known as The Man of 10,000 Sound Effects.

A CAREER IN COMEDY IN THE 80S

Winslow parlayed his incredible sound-making ability into a successful career in comedy in the 80s.

He starred in all 7 of the "Police Academy" films, as well as the movies "Spaceballs", "Cheech and Chong's Next Movie", and the TV series "The Love Boat."

34 YEARS MAKING "FUNNY NOISES"

Winslow has been working as a comedian and an actor for 34 years. He got his big break when appeared on an episode of "The Gong Show" in 1976 performing sound effects and music.

MAKING SOUNDS FOR ANIMATION AND GAME SHOWS

Apart from his live comedy show, Winslow is kept extremely busy making his magic for animated movies, and adding sound effects and voice to game shows such as "Wizard Ops Chapter 1."

BRINGING BACK "MOTOR-MOUTH" JONES?

Winslow revealed that New Line Cinema acquired the rights to "Police Academy 8" and there is a possibility that they may bring back "Motor Mouth" Jones as an instructor in the new movie.

Winslow would love to see "Motor-Mouth" come back as a police detective, spreading his own particular brand of chaos.

Winslow is also working with musicians, and collaborating on a project using sounds to educate children. As always, Winslow is surrounded by a merry jumble of happy noise.

MICHAEL WINSLOW DOES JIMI HENDRIX

Michael Winslow did it again when he impersonated the supposedly inimitable Jimi Hendrix on stage and had the audience rolling in the aisles.

Winslow didn't just put on the iconic headscarf and imitate Hendrix’s voice and persona, he did with his mouth what no-one has ever done with a guitar - imitate the man's guitar.

Winslow went on to "play" Hendrix's characteristic and unforgettable riffs, using only is amazing vocal ability. Well done, Michael Winslow.
