PLAY DATE WITH HER TOES

As she celebrated her 7-month mark, Moore shared a series of pics of the little girl donning a red onesie while playing with her toes and holding herself up in her stomach. However, what caught fans’ attention were her two new bottom teeth.

Kenya captioned the post with updates on Brooklyn’s new achievements:

“#7months. I love my toes; they taste so good. I love rolling around, and I’m trying to crawl. Yay for me!!! And I have 2 teeth! Now if I can just get my daddy to feed me some of his famous chicken and waffles #miraclebaby #babydaly @socobk #brooklyn.”

BIRTH COMPLICATIONS

Kenya and her restauranteur husband, Marc Daly, welcomed baby Brooklyn on November 4, 2018, through an emergency c-section.

In late October, Moore was diagnosed with preeclampsia, a condition that causes extreme fluid retention, high blood pressure, and excess protein in the urine that can lead to severe complications.

"I pray that you become a phenomenal woman, one who is better than me.”

Although doctors tried to control the situation, Kenya’s high blood pressure was going through the roof, and they decided it was time for her to deliver the baby. However, things got even more complicated in the surgery room for the 47-year-old.

“They couldn’t get the baby out,” she told People. And continued:

“There were all these complications, and they knew if they cut into a fibroid, I could potentially bleed out and die. So they ended up cutting me vertically too, to just get the baby out and make sure I survived the surgery. They were so scared they were going to lose me.”

THE GREATEST REWARD

Despite the complications and scares, Kenya said everything was worth it once she held her baby for the first time. “She was just so perfect, so tiny. And just like that, all my dreams had come true,” the former Miss USA stated.

On her first Mother’s Day, Kenya shared a heartfelt message for Brooklyn on Instagram, thanking the girl for “choosing” her and promising her unconditional love “forever and always.”

“I vow to protect, nurture, and encourage you to always be your best self,” she wrote. “I pray for Jehovah’s favor and protection over your life. I pray that you become a phenomenal woman, one who is better than me.”

She concluded her post, stating that being a mother “is the most important job I will ever have.”
