Former “The Chi” star Tiffany Boone is speaking out for the first time since her co-star, Jason Mitchell, was fired from the show over alleged sexual misconduct of which she was a victim.

Boone, 32, was one of the many actresses who reported being at the receiving end of Mitchell’s inappropriate sexual behavior, but she’s mostly kept quiet after that.

In a recent Instagram post, the budding actress has now expressed her appreciation to fans for their outpour of support throughout the journey.

Boone shared a handwritten wrote that said:

“I’ve never spent a lot of time on social media but I wanted everyone who has sent me positivity over the last few weeks to know – I FELT IT. I am so appreciative of all the love, prayers, and support. I love you! I thank you!”

In the comment section were fans who continued to shower the star with more words of kindness.

“We support you,” declared one Instagram user. “I don’t care how good of an actor ANYONE is. If it risks the safety of one of our queens, he’s got to GO. Periodt.”

“We love you and will miss you!” echoed another. “Can’t wait to see what’s next.”

Boone reportedly registered complaints about Mitchell’s inappropriate behavior several times, but when things remained the same, the actress asked to leave the Lena Waithe-created series.

“The Chi” second-season showrunner Ayanna Floyd also alleged last month that Waithe was aware of Mitchell’s misconduct allegations, especially as it pertained to Boone.

“When I took the helm in season two, it was Lena who informed me of the issues between Jason Mitchell and Tiffany Boone from season one, and that Tiffany was thinking of leaving the show because of it,” Floyd said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

She revealed that all her efforts at curbing Mitchell proved abortive, and she eventually became “a target of his rage and inappropriateness.” As a result, Floyd declined to return to the show for its third season which was confirmed in April.

Mitchell, a fast-rising actor whose performance in 2015’s “Straight Outta Compton” and 2017’s “Mudbound” earned him recognition and rave reviews, has since been dropped by “The Chi.”

The move followed similar ones by Mitchell’s agency, his management company, and the Netflix film “Desperados,” where he had been cast as the lead character.
