ON WENDY DATING CONVICTED FELON
Williams candidly admitted on her show that she’s single and having fun. So it didn’t come as a surprise when she debuted the hand of a man she was dating on social media earlier this month.
However, it was later revealed that the mystery man was Marc Tomblin who, apart from being young enough to be Wendy’s son, is also a convicted criminal. This worried fans of the television host who think she may be setting herself up for trouble.
They were spotted hitting an ATM ahead of a shopping spree, raising questions about who’s funding who.
HE CLAIMS HE'S NOT A GOLD DIGGER
With suspicions high over his real motives towards Williams, Tomlin reportedly got tired of it and began blocking people to avoid the negativity. According to TMZ, the 27-year-old made it clear he was not after the 57-year-old’s money because he is capable of taking care of himself financially.
While he currently describes himself as a financial investor and blogger on Linkedin, the North Carolina native served over a year in prison after he was convicted of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and breaking and entering in 2013.
Tomblin became the subject of scrutiny after he began to be seen regularly with Williams who he met in California while she was on vacation. Her show is currently on a break for five weeks. Since then, he's returned with her to New York and they’ve been traipsing around the city. They were spotted hitting an ATM ahead of a shopping spree, raising questions about who’s funding who.
TOMBLIN'S CRIMINAL PAST WORRIES FANS BUT NOT WILLIAMS
More importantly, Tomlin’s past also raises a red flag. While he currently describes himself as a financial investor and blogger on Linkedin, the North Carolina native served over a year in prison after he was convicted of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon and breaking and entering in 2013.
"I am a 54-year-old grown ass woman. I know what I'm doing."
However, sources close to Tomblin are saying he’s had enough of the suspicions as Williams assures fans that she knows what she’s doing. When TMZ caught up with her recently while hand-in-hand with Tomblin, she told the publication, “I'll do what I want.”
"I KNOW WHAT I'M DOING"
Prior to that, she also told the same publication that she was aware of her man’s past adding, "I am a 54-year-old grown ass woman. I know what I'm doing."
And besides, Williams, who insisted Tomblin wasn’t her boyfriend, thinks she deserves to have fun.
"Look, my husband had a full baby with a woman he was involved with for 15 years ... where I was cooped up only to be a show pony. Now, I'm living my life."
WILLIAMS' DIVORCE DRAMA
Williams and her estranged husband, Kevin Hunter were married for over 22 years when the talk show host discovered he was cheating on her and had a child with his mistress. It took a while for Williams to come out in the open and reveal her marital woes but she finally did after months of speculation that her marriage was in trouble.
...she became highly emotional when the publication caught up with her inside her car with Tomblin. She teared up when asked about Kevin Jr. "I didn't plan this but it is what it is," she said.
Williams and Hunter are currently processing their divorce which also affects their only child, 18-year-old Kevin Hunter, Jr. In fact, the younger Kevin took out his anger on his father and was even arrested after he attacked Kevin Sr. who did not press charges. He even released a statement professing his love for his son after the incident.
Meanwhile, Williams assured TMZ that father and son are "not apart" after she became highly emotional when the publication caught up with her inside her car with Tomblin. She teared up when asked about Kevin Jr. "I didn't plan this but it is what it is," she said and insisted "all three of us are fine."
