Fans React Ambiguously to Jill Duggar's New Photo of Her in Pants
On Father’s Day, Jill Duggar Dillard visited her father-in-law, Richard Dillard’s grave along with her husband Derick and his family. However, the clothes she wore which got made for a good cause, got an unexpected reaction from fans.
In memory of their visit, Jill posted a gallery of pictures taken during the day on June 17. In the photographs, Jill could be seen wearing a white shirt and long green pants, and even though the occasion was a solemn one, people couldn’t help but ask where she got her outfit.
Because her outfit got so much attention, Jill decided to do a follow-up post and explained the story behind it. On June 19, Jill posted another slideshow of pictures featuring the clothes she wore on Father’s Day and a few other outfits.
A good friend of her sister-in-law started a boutique named Juniper Anne Boutique in memory of her sister who passed. 10% of profits on all their sales go to a shelter for abused women.
“Olive green pants and striped shirt are from her shop @juniperanneboutique,” she wrote. Now fans knew where to get a pair of their own, and commented on how beautiful she looked.
“Wow! I actually like this! You can be modest and still trendy/cute.... love it,” a fan gushed.
But then some keyboard warriors saw Jill’s posts from another perspective as one said, “I never seen a family smile so much when a loved one has died. All of you have posted one photo after another smiling, and this is really disgraceful.”
“Iron your pants you are modeling them for $,” another fan chimed in.
It has been a difficult week for Jill as her 78-year-old grandmother, Mary Duggar, died on June 9 after an accidental drowning in a swimming pool.
On June 18, Jill paid tribute to her grandmother and shared an emotional video and some pictures. “Yesterday was a very hard yet beautiful day. The service was lovely and very honoring to my Grandma and the one she loved more than anyone or anything else, Jesus Christ!” Jill captioned her post.
Mary’s daughter, Deanna found her in the pool as Roger W. Morris, Washington County Coroner confirmed to PEOPLE. “Duggar slipped and fell into the pool and drowned. Her daughter Deanna discovered her body and alerted authorities, who pronounced her dead at the scene,” he told the publication.
Jill also honored her grandmother with a post on their family blog site. With a link to her post shared on Instagram, followers soon visited the site to pay their respect. But Jill Duggar soon got accused of using her late grandmother for money.
