Viral ‘Hell to Da Naw’ Singer Bishop Bullwinkle Dies at 70
Bishop Bullwinkle, the viral singer/comedian best known for his “Hell 2 Da Naw Naw” song has passed away, his family confirms. He was 70.
Bullwinkle (real name Bernard Thomas) found fame only a few years ago, but in that short time, the entertainer was able to amass quite the following.
In a post to his Facebook page on June 16, his family announced that the star had booked a different kind of “show.”
“It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our father Bishop Bullwinkle. He has booked his show in Heaven to perform for our Heavenly Father and for once, he couldn't be late. We love u sir and please book us the VIP room for us when we meet again.”
Fans and well-wishers have been registering their condolences in the comment section of the post, offering kind words to family and friends mourning the late Bullwinkle.

“Sorry for your Loss, He had a good heart, he came on my job to see some of the sick residents who was a [fan] of his music,” wrote one fan who also attached a photo of herself posing in scrubs with Bullwinkle. “When I asked him to come without hesitation he came to Sarasota, the look on the resident's face was priceless, we also recorded in the same studio, RIP Bishop.”
“Sending my condolences to you and your family,” another Facebook user shared. “I loved following him on YouTube.”
A third fan said:
“Sending my condolences to out the family and friends and sorry about your lost. May U rest in peace and U are going to be truly missed Bishop BullWinkle.”
Bay News 9 reported that Bullwinkle, a Tampa Bay, Florida native, died on June 16 after suffering a heart attack. The entertainer’s daughter, Nikkia Wright, told the station that Bullwinkle’s death was even more heartbreaking because he passed on Father’s Day.
Wright reminisced about growing up with her father, revealing just how much the late singer was in love with music.
“Growing up in our household, it was always music. He might come in and talk a little junk. He might hear a little beat; he might start rapping,” she recalled. “He teaches us how to read; he was rapping and reading. When I think him, I think music and comedy.”
Bullwinkle became a viral sensation after his song “Hell 2 Da Naw Naw.” The video has since amassed over 35 million views on YouTube.
