We might see Peta Murgatroyd showing off her incredible dance chops again! The Australian pro dancer reportedly revealed that she might be returning to the hit American dance competition series “Dancing With the Stars.”
During the grand event for the reopening of Hollywood’s Cleo restaurant on June 15, the star opened up to US Weekly about what is keeping her engaged these days.
“I’ve been auditioning every couple of days,” she revealed. “Comic movies, superhero roles … that’s my thing. That would just be a dream … I don’t want to do just romantic comedies.”
According to Peta, her dream role would resonate with her dedication to maintaining a fit body.
During her time on “Dancing With the Stars,” Peta set the floor on fire with her mesmerizing dance moves and won the hearts of many. The star hinted at the possibility that she might return to the iconic show with a coy “maybe.”
“I’m actually not contracted with them right now,”
The program is currently on hiatus, but that hasn’t stopped Peta and her husband Maksim Chmerkovskiy from continuing their dance routine.
“We put together a little routine [just for us] … Dancing just makes us feel good,” the Australian star shared. “We also get asked to do shows very regularly, like, ‘Come to my daughter’s bat mitzvah and dance for her’ and we’re like, ‘OK!’ We have done a couple and they’ve just been incredible. They are some of the most fun trips that we’ve been on.”
It is inspiring to see how Peta manages to stay sprightly despite her life as a mother to an adorable two-year-old son Shai who keeps her on her toes.
Speaking of her son’s adorable tantrums, she said: “One minute they love strawberry ice cream, and the next day you give it to him and he’s like, ‘I’m over it’.”
The happy mom said she is amazed by the amount of love a mother has for her child. “If I’ve had a bad day, he and Maks are the only people that could really just get me out of my slump. They’re just amazing,” said Peta.
Mark and Peta first met in 2009 on the set of the live dance show “Burn the Floor.” It wasn’t until 2012 that the duo started dating but their relationship lasted only a couple of years.
However, the couple could not stay away from each other for long and they ultimately tied the knot on July 8, 2017.
