Keke Palmer stepped in on “Strahan and Sara” after the show co-host Sara Haines went on maternity leave last month and although the replacement is temporary, fans couldn’t be happier for the actress/singer.

Haines, 41, went on maternity leave earlier in June, telling the audience at the time that she was due for delivery in less than a month.

“We wanted to start talking about what to do for Michael [Strahan, her co-host] ‘cos he’s gonna be lonely when I take my maternity leave,” Haines said on the ABC daytime talk show.

HAINES' 'BEST TIME' WITH PALMER

After Strahan, 47, joked that he was also going to take maternity leave, Haines added:

“You are not gonna take a ‘man-ternity’ leave; that is not gonna happen. When Michael was traveling a few months back, I had the best time with one of our guest hosts. She’s super talented and we danced and we had so much fun.”

PALMER CAME READY

“And you are talking about Keke Palmer. Yeah!” Strahan announced as the “Akeelah and the Bee” star stepped out in an orange jacket, camo pants, and stilettos.

An excited Palmer hugged Strahan and Haines before getting comfortable with the co-hosts on a couch.

“So I thought, if I’m gonna like serve up someone to like be here, you gotta pick out the best; that’s my girl Keke,” Haines gushed as Strahan admitted that he’s excited to work with the 25-year-old entertainer.

“I’m very ready,” Palmer added. “I was ready from the day I was born. I popped out like, ‘Boop, I’m ready.’”

TV HISTORY

The Illinois native, who will be filling in for Haines throughout the summer, is no stranger to TV hosting. In 2014, she made history as the youngest talk show host in TV history when she got her own talk show “Just Keke” at age 20.

Earlier this year, Palmer was also one of the guest hosts brought in on the “Wendy Williams Show” while Williams was on break.

SOCIAL MEDIA REACTIONS

Fans were happy for Palmer scoring the guest-hosting gig on “Strahan and Sara” and said as much under a YouTube clip of the announcement.

“Yes!! I’m so happy for Keke! That’s my girl,” wrote an excited YouTube user. “She’s a great actress and TV host.”

“Seriously, LOVE KEKE!! She is a FANTASTIC host!” echoed another. “When she did Wendy Williams show while Wendy was out, she was AMAZING! And when she is with Michael, I am ALWAYS tuned in!! Love you, girl!”
