Since joining Weight Watchers, Tamela has been a lot more confident in the way she expresses herself on social media, even showing off her weight loss progress as much as she can.

A New and Improved Figure

Recently, the gospel singer shared a photo of herself in a tight shirt that really emphasized how much weight she lost in the past couple of months.

The 52-year-old agreed to be the newest ambassador for WW, the new "Weight Watchers" program rebrand.

To become the face of the new and improved platform was a no brainer for her, as she knows it won't only help her, but a lot of people around her, too.

Asking for Help

As she's been trying to lose weight for a while now, she acknowledges that she couldn't do it alone, and the program is the perfect companion for her to successfully live a healthier lifestyle.

“I decide that this is the help that I needed, because I couldn’t do it my own.”

Since then, Tamela has lost more than 200 pounds, and her weight loss journey is technically having a fresh start now that she's WW's new face.

The beginning of their journey

She first began her serious journey towards weight loss in 2007 when her husband David was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and they decided it was time to take better care of themselves.

At first, they did baby steps such as ordering a salad for their side dish instead of fries and having grilled food instead of fried, but they decided to step it up a notch by enlisting in Weight Watchers.

Now, they are on the road to fitness together and their stories are also inspiring many others to go the same route.
