Jessa Duggar's 5-Week-Old Daughter Ivy Jane Melts Hearts on Instagram
Jessa Duggar shared a sweet photo of her newborn daughter and as cute as she is, fans couldn't help but make a comparison to her cousins who are just as adorable.
Jessa, 26, graced Instagram with a sweet picture of her daughter Ivy Jane and the cuteness level was off the charts. The big little one lay down wearing a yellow-flowered dress and black pants.
Her round head was adorned with a large bow. In the caption, Jessa reminded everyone that Ivy Jane was not born as big as her two brothers, but right about now, she's making up for it.
"She's 5 1/2 weeks now and nearly 12 lbs. This kid likes to eat," she wrote, but the fans were more focused on her looks. Jessa's own sister chimed in to comment on the resemblance between Jessa's other kid.
"And looking more like spurge now. Lol," she said, referring to older brother Spurgeon. Ivy Jane's other big brother is Henry. Another fan also compared baby Ivy Jane to Felicity, Jinger Duggard and Jeremy Vuolo's one-year-old daughter.
One person responded in disagreement, while another co-signed the similarity. Another suggested that Ivy Jane looks like both Spurgeon and Felicity.
It's no wonder the tot looks just like her sibling and cousin since she was actually born right in a Duggar home. As revealed on the family's show "Counting On," Jessa underwent a home birth back in May.
Since little Ivy Jane was ready to come out ten days before her due date, Jessa was forced to think fast and change her original plans. She called up a new midwife as hers was no longer available.
She walked up and down in hopes of increasing her contractions. By evening time, things were underway and Jessa was able to successfully deliver her first girl.
Amid the pure joy that came with the little one, Jessa has also had to endure some pain upon learning that her sister Joy-Anna suffered a miscarriage just last week.
Jessa expressed her grief via Instagram on Wednesday, just hours after Joy-Anna made her loss public. Jessa reposted the black-and-white photo her sister shared as she sat in the hospital bed with husband Austin Forsyth.
She wrote, "Our hearts are breaking over your loss. Such beautiful words you’ve written in your post. Annabell will forever be in our hearts. We love you all and are praying for God’s peace and comfort during this time."
We hope that Joy-Anna and Forsyth are able to overcome their sorrow and move past the grief that comes with losing a child. As the Duggar family grows, we pray that they are able to expand their family.
