Nene Leakes Shows Plenty of Skin in Skimpy Swimsuit after Confirming RHOA Return

Nene Leakes wants her fans to know that just because she doesn’t show off her killer body, doesn’t mean she doesn’t have it. The reality star took to Instagram to flaunt her curves in a swimsuit, just a few days after confirming her return to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” season 12.

Nene Leakes is ready for the summer and not shying away from showing off her killer curves.

The reality star took to Instagram over the weekend to post a series of photos donning a skimpy one-piece black swimsuit that left little to the imagination.

In one pic, she laid down by the poolside while laughing, and in another, she added a brimmed hat to her look, giving the camera a broad smile while posing with her hands on her tiny waist.

“Just because I don’t show it, don’t mean I ain’t got it. Just ask him,” Nene captioned the last post.

FANS’ CRITICISM

Fans were quick to fill her comment section gushing about Nene’s summer body, and although most of them had only praise for the reality star, others accused her of using photoshop to hide her imperfections.

“Oh, wow. You're giving us a whole 12-month calendar swimsuit series here. Rock on with your bad self!!!!!” wrote one user.

Another added, “I thought you were a grandmother? Damn Nee...making us look bad.”

However, a different user pointed out: “The editing of the rolls on the left is quite obvious.” To which a fourth one agreed, saying:

“Celebrities need to stop editing their pictures. Teach others to embrace themselves, be the example instead of making them/us believe yall are perfect.”

BACK TO THE RACE

Leakes didn’t address the comments, as she seems to be having a good time now that she confirmed her return to the twelfth season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”

It’s been weeks since the rest of the cast started filming for the new season, and rumors were going around about Leakes being left out from the new season because of all the drama that went down with her co-stars and the filming crew on season eleven.

However, Leakes’ representative cleared the air with a statement last month, revealing that she was still in negotiations over her contract. Then, Leakes finally let the cat out of the bag last week, sharing a now-deleted pic of her signed contract and adding in the caption:

“Season 12 SIGNED! Nay Nay will see you in NYC Sunday. Let’s go #RHOA #HBIC #OG #shegotit bag secured.”

THE FALL OUT

Most fans are glad to know Nene will be back despite having an epic fallout with most of her co-stars, especially with her former friend Cynthia Bailey, whom she has called a liar and a traitor.

The drama took place at one of Bailey’s events last year, when former “RHOA” star and Nene’s nemesis, Kenya Moore, made a surprise appearance and chose to ignore Leakes while being friendly with the rest of the women.

Although Bailey claimed she didn’t know Moore would attend, it was later revealed she was the one to invite the former Miss USA and failed to warn Leakes about it. For Nene, that was a stab in the back.

A hurt Leakes has made sure to let the world know that from now on, her castmates are just her co-workers, and she won’t make an effort to build a relationship with them.

“Cynthia did exactly what she did, and what's crazy is she cut me, and she's really out here acting like she's the one that's bleeding,” Leakes recently told E! News. “It's crazy to me. And it's easy for everybody to be like, it's NeNe, NeNe did it.”

She added:

“Trust everything I'm telling you. She is lying through her teeth. That girl is lying to you, I'm telling you, she is lying with no issue at all, she is lying. She's out here doing damage control; she's running around here saying NeNe is a toxic friend, an unhealthy friend to be in a relationship with. A toxic friend? I'm blown away.”

NO REGRETS

Aside from her drama with Bailey, Leakes was also involved in a physical altercation with one cameraman who tried to sneak into her closet without her permission.

When Leakes hosted a “no wigs” party at her home, Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams invited themselves into her closet, ignoring several warnings from Nene, who didn’t want the ladies and much less the cameras to see her closet because it was unorganized at the time.

Still going against Nene’s will, Burruss and Williams managed to get into her closet, and when a cameraman tried to follow them, Leakes lost her cool, grabbed him from behind and rip his shirt, causing a ruckus that left a then-pregnant Williams claiming she was scared of Leakes.

After the episode aired, and fans called out Leakes for overreacting about the situation, she defended her actions on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.”

“How are you going to overreact in your own home? If I tell you to visit me and sit right here, you need to sit right here,” she stated. “You don't have the right to go through my house to open my doors, my closets, my pantries, none of that."

Now that Kenya Moore is allegedly back into “RHOA” as well, fans are excited to see how Nene will handle the situation in the new season.
