Kenya Moore Is Getting Back Her Peach in Upcoming Season of RHOA
After weeks of rumors, Kenya Moore officially confirmed her return to season 12 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Fans’ reactions have been mixed, but the former Miss USA is ready to twirl her way back to her rightful place as a peach holder.
Kenya Moore is ready to give the new season of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” some “Gone with the Wind Fabulous" realness.
The 48-year-old confirmed the news on Thursday, posting an Instagram pic where she’s holding a peach in front of a green screen, probably filming for the show’s new opening. “I was hungry, so I snatched a [peach],” she captioned the post.
“It’s going to be a great season,” an insider told People of Kenya’s return. “Kenya isn’t wasting time reminding everyone why she’s reality TV gold.”
MIXED REACTIONS
Fans of the show have mixed reactions about Moore’s return. While her followers are excited to see what Kenya will bring to the show, others are mad and claiming they will stop watching “RHOA” altogether.
“We been knew!!!! They couldn't keep the Queen gone too long!!!!” wrote one happy fan.
An another agreed,
"Glad you’re back - life hasn’t been the same since the #shadeassassin disappeared from my screen. Now I will watch again after boycotting last season. I live for your zingers."
On the other hand, an unsatisfied viewer said on Bravo's page, “Aww damn! Now I have to stop watching RHOA. Cannot stand Kenya! Won't be watching. Bye Bravo!”
And another asked to bring Phaedra Parks back instead,
"Just when the show was going back to its roots and becoming fun again. Bring @phaedraparks back. She's entertaining, measured and more prepared for this."
KENYA’S JOURNEY ON THE SHOW
Moore joined the reality show on its fifth season back in 2012, and she gave fans some of the most iconic moments, like her “Gone with the wind Fabolous” fight with Porsha Williams, and her mansion war with former housewife Sheree Whitfield.
Ahead of season 10, Kenya was heavily criticized when she tried to hide her personal life from the cameras after she famously eloped with Marc Daly to get married in a private ceremony unbeknownst to her cast mates or producers.
Then, she announced her pregnancy on the season 10 final reunion, and soon after her departure from the show when negotiations to have her as a full-time cast member fell through.
A NEW BEGINNING
Kenya told The Daily Dish she wanted to focus on her high-risk pregnancy in a “healthy drama-free environment,” and added:
“I thank Bravo for this amazing platform that has allowed me to grow, flourish, and appreciate the value of what is truly important in life. And to #TeamTwirl: Thank you for your loving and relentless support — you will see me soon!”
Kenya and her husband Marc Daly welcomed their daughter, Brooklyn Doris on November 4, 2018.
Although Moore stayed away from the cameras a while, she did a special appearance on the 11 season finale of the show, when she attended one of Cynthia Bailey’s events, causing a major rift between Cynthia and Nene Leakes.
Now that Kenya, Cynthia, and Nene are all confirmed to return to the show, alongside Kandi Burruss and Porsha Williams, fans can’t wait to see the drama that will inevitably take place among the Georgia peaches.
