Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green dated on and off for six years. They eventually tied the knot in 2010.

Even though they tied the knot it was not smooth sailing. The pair separated after just five years of marriage in August 2015.

Their relationship and marriage have been a rollercoaster ride. While appearing like the perfect couple they have split and reconciled many times over the years.

Meeting Each Other

Meghan and Brian first met when he guest-starred on ABC's Hope and Faith. She was just 18-years-old at the time. She was also "too young to have watched 90210" but admitted that she thought "he was gorgeous and I wanted to get to know him better."

She revealed that she fell "instantly in love." The actress even went as far as saying,

"Everyone was sort of gathered around the monitors watching playback from his scene, and he accidentally grazed my leg with his hand. I felt an electric shocks go through my body, so I figured that meant something."

Defending their age difference

The stars found themselves constantly defending their 13-year age difference. Fox once said:

"When I talk about my husband, I feel as if people roll their eyes. It's like when you're 16 and order a martini, and the waiter says, 'Do you think I'm stupid?' They can't grasp that I'm old enough to be married."

So in love:

The couple appeared to be completely in love with each other. From frolicking happily on the beach to trips to Disney world filled with PDA, they seemed taken with each other.

"We are even more committed to each other, and we always have been," said Fox. "I am more in love with him now than I was in the beginning."

However, in August 2015, news of their separation broke. Two days after the story was published, Fox filed for divorce. She cited irreconcilable differences.

Rekindled Their Romance

Eight months later, Fox was pregnant. At the time she joked about who the father of her child was without revealing any real details about her pregnancy.

Back Together:

In June 2016, a source confirmed that Fox and Green were “totally back together.” Then in August that year, they welcomed their third son, Journey River into the world.

A year later in September 2017, the actor opened up about their relationship. He said on his podcast:

“Marriage is hard. It’s work, I think for anyone. I think when you get to the point like we have, where you have kids and you’ve been married for a while and we’ve been together for a long time, it’s – you just take it day by day.”

Green added, “I have no problem with something not working, I really hold no expectations. I try to live day by day… Some people look at divorce or things not working as, like, a disappointment and it’s not. The fact that it worked at all is a positive.”

Rise of his Ex

In November 2018, Green's past came back to bite him. His ex Vanessa Marcil alleged that the couple had not seen Green's eldest son, Kassius, in five years.

The former General Hospital star went on to claim that Kassius has “never met his youngest brother and is not allowed to know where his bio father, stepmother and three younger brothers live.” In a lengthy Instagram post she wrote:

“12 years ago I was served legal papers and then spent 8 years+ defending myself and my son in custody court in response to his father & his stepmother trying to get full custody(that means I would have seen my son four days a month) and then asking me to pay them child support. They lost that case & a civil case asking me for 200,000.”

She added, “I had also never asked for child support of any kind and had never tried to take time away from Kass’ dad seeing him. Ever. In the end they lost all of these court cases. The judge called them all ‘Frivolous’ They always had 50% custody and still did when court ended as I had and have NEVER asked for full custody.”

According to People, Kassius served as his father’s best man when he married Megan Fox. The wedding came four years after the pair tried to get full custody of him in 2006 if Marcil's claims are correct. Neither of them has commented on the allegations.

Divorce Dismissal

In April 2019, three years after they reconciled, Fox filed papers in Los Angeles to dismiss her divorce case. An insider said:

“During their separation, Brian always hoped Megan would change her mind about the divorce and he is very happy that she did. They both worked hard to figure out their marriage and things seem great.”
