Mama June's Daughter Pumpkin Shares New Pic with Her Baby & Husband

Pumpkin’s picture post with her baby and husband, showed a balanced and happy family, amid her mum, Mama June’s drug problems.

Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, is a 19-year-old with a baby and husband, Joshua Efird. She shared a picture of her happy family on Instagram that showed the trio smiling.

In the picture which appeared to be a selfie, Pumpkin stood in front, while Joshua held their baby in his arms behind her, and they had nature as a backdrop.

The TV star captioned the post with a heart-shaped emoji, and the Hawaiian word, “Ohana.” Pumpkin’s fans took to the comment section, gushing about how great her family looked, and assured her that they are sending prayers to her family to overcome the challenges they are going through.

Pumpkin’s mother, Mama June Shannon, has been dealing with drug-related problems that prompted the TV star and her siblings to hold an intervention for her in May.

The intervention aired during a special segment of their WeTv show, “Mama June: From Not to Hot,” and it got titled “Road to Intervention.” It showed the Shannon children try to reason with their mother, and get her to admit that she has an addiction.

Pumpkin also tried to make her mum leave her boyfriend, Geno Doak, whom she blames for introducing Mama June to drugs and encouraging the habit.

In the interview part of the segment, the reality star equally accused Doak of cheating on her mum and pointed out that Mama June’s bank account which she was monitoring at the time, was slowly running out of cash.

The intervention didn’t help much, and in July, Pumpkin’s younger sister, Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, who lived with their mother and her boyfriend, moved out to stay with the mum-of-one.

The WeTv star shared a photo of the two of them, and their longtime manager, Gina Rodriguez, looking happy, and they appeared not to miss their mother’s presence.

Mama June’s drug problem came to light after police picked her and Doak up for allegedly having crack cocaine and pipe in their possession; they got charged and are awaiting trial.

After the arrest, Pumpkin said in an episode of their show that her family was going through a rough time, and thanked fans for their love and support.

The reality star added that she hopes other families would learn from her family’s challenges and noted that despite the difficulties, they’ve also had some good times.

Pumpkin remains concerned for Mama June, but until the latter decides to get help, the TV star is focusing on being a good mum to her baby and taking care of Alana.
