Meet Kelvin Hayden, Taraji P. Henson's NFL Star Fiancé

The "Empire" star actress Taraji P. Henson is officially off the market as she got engaged last spring to former football player, Kelvin Heyden.

TARAJI'S ENGAGEMENT

After dating for about two years, actress, Taraji P. Henson and her Super Bowl Winning beau finally got engaged. The thoughtful proposal was planned on mother's day, and the actress got two amazing mother's day gift from the star player. The first was a love bracelet, and then a love proposal wit a pretty diamond ring.

The "Empire" Cookie Lyon role player made the official announcement on Instagram in May, last year, along with a picture of the diamond band.

"He started with the Cartier love bracelet BUT that was my ＃Mother's day Gift, and then he dropped to his knee, and I almost passed out!!!," the star actress wrote.

Taraji also expressed her happiness for being officially off the market.

Taraji's relationship with her NFL sweetheart could pass for one of the best-kept secrets in Hollywood. The couple dated quietly until the announcement it in December 2017, after being in the relationship for almost a year.

Shortly after the official revelation, it went under the radar again until the mother's day engagement breaking news. Now that the love fest is out for good, what else is known about the NFL star beside his football prowess?

Taraji's man is best known for his NFL career, having been a pro football player, from his high school, through college, and then getting drafted in the Indianapolis Colts during the 2005 NFL Draft.

The former Football cornerback afterward played for the Atlanta Falcons, and then the Chicago Bears. He stood out for his excellence in each of these teams but retired from the games due to multiple injuries. He now works at the Karpa Deem gym, which he co-owns.

HEYDEN'S KIDS

Like the "Proud Mary" star, Heyden also has kids from a previous relationship. The American Footballer is a father of two children, his son, Kelvin III and a daughter Kyra. Pictures of the amazing kids could be seen on his social media.

For one, the 36-year-old footballer is not a talker. Even after publicly breaking their engagement news, he still did not make any reference to their relationship on social media.

Since their engagement last spring, fans have been looking forward to the wedding bells, but the 47-year-old actress revealed in January that they are in no rush.
