Rihanna Wears Massive Pink Feathered Dress for Barbados' Crop Over Festival
Two months after leaving fans speechless with one pink outfit, Rihanna is making headlines with another. This time, she rocked an elaborate feathered outfit during one of her home country’s biggest festivals.
Rihanna (birth name Robyn Rihanna Fenty) skipped the Crop Over Festival in Barbados last year but seemed to make up for it with her “big bang” outfit on Monday.

WHAT SHE WORE
The singer showed up at the Kadooment Day parade looking festive and glamorous in a mini pink dress adorned with matching feathers that stuck out in every direction. If the outfit was uncomfortable, Rihanna did not show it as she was pictured laughing and getting into the festival spirit.

The “Diamonds” hitmaker accessorized with a pair of pink pointed-toe, rhinestone-embellished heels and round-rimmed glasses with similar embellishments.
She also extended stick-on rhinestones to the sides of her eyes that were highlighted with green eyeshadow. Ri-Ri’s dangling earrings and hair tied up in Bantu knots completed the ensemble.
The Crop Over, according to Page Six, is the most popular and colorful festival in Barbados. The festival origins go as far back as the 1780’s when the nation was the world’s largest producer of sugar and marks the end of one successful sugar cane season. The Grand Kadooment Day parade wraps up the year's Crop Over festivities.
RIHANNA'S MEMORABLE OUTFITS
Rihanna’s 2019 outfit differs from those of previous years that offered generous views of her curves. According to PEOPLE, the singer’s 2017 outfit was a fully bedazzled lingerie set that showed off cleavage, and her turquoise hair was hard to miss.
Rihanna also seems to be favoring pink in recent times, rocking a skimpy dress of the same color to her Fenty pop-up launch event in New York City in June. The risqué outfit featured thin straps, ruched sides, and a strappy back.

BUILDING AN EMPIRE
Rihanna, 31, has been keeping busy lately with her Fenty empire, building her beauty, lingerie, and fashion lines into a global force and becoming the world’s richest female musician while at it.

BUILDING A RELATIONSHIP
Besides business, however, the beauty has also been prioritizing her personal life and revealed in a recent interview that she’s “nurturing” her new relationship.
“It was like, ‘I need to make time for this.’ Just like I nurture my businesses, I need to nurture this as well. I’ll shut things down for two days, three days at a time. On my calendar, we now have the infamous ‘P,’ which means personal days. This is a new thing.”
RIHANNA'S LOVE
The lucky man is Saudi Arabian business tycoon Hassan Jameel who Rihanna has been dating for over two years now. The couple manages to keep their relationship under wraps, going as far as arriving and leaving separately during their dates.
Most recently, however, the couple was spotted on a boat trip in Italy alongside Jameel’s family, hinting that he and the singer may be getting closer to tying the knot.
“Only God knows that, girl,” Rihanna said during the interview about any potential marriage plans. “We plan, and God laughs, right?”
