Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth Split Eight Months after Tying the Knot
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have decided to call it quits less than a year after tying the knot and are asking people to respect their process and privacy.
The news was shared by the singer's representative on Saturday after Cyrus used her official Instagram page to share a photo where she can be seen without her wedding ring.
According to the rep, the two have decided that splitting up was the best thing to do and that they are now focusing on themselves and their careers.
CYRUS' HINT ON SOCIAL MEDIA
It has also been reported that Cyrus and Hemsworth will "remain dedicated parents to all the animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart."
The rumors regarding the split started with the Instagram post featuring the 26-year-old singer sitting in a chair while wearing a black bustier top and matching black pants.

Although she was wearing several jewelry pieces such as bracelets and necklaces, her wedding ring was nowhere to be found. The picture was taken during a trip to Italy with friend Kaitlynn Carter.
AN ON AND OFF COUPLE
Cyrus and Hemsworth have always had a very rocky relationship, as they split and got back together a couple of times since they met on the set of the movie "The Last Song," in 2010.
In 2012, the now 29-year-old actor proposed to Cyrus but their engagement came to an end a year later. The two eventually reconciled three years later.
THEIR SECRET WEDDING
In December 2018, they said "I do" in a private ceremony held at their Franklin, Tennessee, home, with Cyrus donning a custom-made floor-length wedding gown designed by Vivienne Westwood.
Cyrus, who rose to fame thanks to Disney Channel's "Hannah Montana," confirmed that she was indeed a married woman by posting a photo of the wedding day.
In the black-and-white snap, Hemsworth can be seen with his arms wrapped around his bride in what seemed to be a quiet and romantic moment between the two.
