Al Roker has been showing off his amazing cooking skills on social media ever since he started a special weight loss diet called “Keto Diet.”
Recently, the “Today” co-host shared a snapshot of the healthy breakfast he made for his son and himself on Instagram.
Being Al Roker’s son has its perks, and having delicious home-cooked food is one of them. The “The Al Roker Show Host” is undoubtedly a great TV host, and judging by his Instagram feed, he is an excellent chef, too.
The lively media star gave fans a glimpse of what he prepared for his son and himself for breakfast on Instagram. Roker topped the mouth-watering frittata with tomatoes, salami, basil, and gouda.
It took no time for his fans to be inspired by his impressive cooking skills, and they took to the comment section to share how his feed inspired them to cook.
FANS FEEL INSPIRED TO COOK AFTER SEEING ROKER’S POST
Roker swears by the low-carb, high-fat Keto diet that inspires him to spend time in the kitchen cooking delicious meals for himself and his family.
The “Today” co-host took up the diet plan in September. According to Healthline, the Keto diet puts the body in a metabolic state called “ketosis” during which the body starts burning fat for energy due to a lack of carbohydrates.
Roker has not only lost 40 pounds after following the diet plan, but he has also inspired his fans to eat healthy meals.
“This looks so yummy. You inspire me to cook healthier! Thanks for sharing,” one of his fans commented.
“You inspired me to make a feta spinach pepper mushroom omelet,” another fan shared.
A third fan commented: “Oh my this looks amazing. Love the combination of flavors. Will try this weekend.”
Some of his fans expressed how they want him to write a cookbook.
LIFE AWAY FROM THE CAMERAS
Roker is undoubtedly a great chef, but he is also a doting father to his two kids and a loving husband to his wife.
He met his current wife, Deborah Roberts, in 1990 when she joined NBC as a reporter. Back then, AI was married to WNBC producer Alice Bell, and they adopted their daughter Courtney together.
Although Roker and Roberts did not hit it off right away, they kept in touch even after Roberts was transferred to Miami.
After she came back to New York in 1992, the duo finally got into a relationship. Roker had just split up with his wife back then.
In 1994, Roker finalized his divorced with Bell. The same year, he asked Roberts to marry him while on a trip to the Grand Canyon.
Roberts gave birth to their first child Leila in 1998 through in vitro fertilization. Their second child, Nick, was born in 2002. Unlike his elder sisters, Nick has special needs.
