Danny Gokey of 'American Idol' and His Wife Leyicet Welcome Their 4th Child
The Gokeys' are now a family-of-six! Danny Gokey accompanied a sweet snap on social media celebrating the arrival of his fourth child with the words, "We are excited."
Famous "American Idol" country artist, Danny Gokey welcomed his fourth child, with his wife, Leyicet Peralta, over the weekend.

The baby, Emanuel Daniel Gokey arrived weighing 8lbs and 14oz. The proud father, took to Instagram to share the news with his fans, with a photo post of himself, and his three older children, Daniel, Victoria, and soon-to-be 2-year-old, Gabriel.
In the photo, the singer who was dressed in a black polo carried Gabriel, while his two older children stood beside him, touching their baby brother in the hospital bassinet. Gokey captioned the photo,
"We are so excited to announce that our fourth child, Emanuel, made his entrance into the world today."
Reacting to the happy news, the country star's followers congratulated him and Leyicet on the arrival of their fourth child. One of them wrote, "Congratulations Gokey," while another Kris Allen, exclaimed, "What! Amazing. Congrats bud."
The baby news came in February. The "My Best Days are Ahead of Me" singer made the reveal on Instagram with a photo of his children holding the ultrasound of their then-soon-to-be sibling. He captioned it,
"It's official! Baby Gokey #4 is coming this August."
Leyicet equally shared the baby news on her social media, joking at the time that her then-youngest child, Gabriel was not pleased with having a new sibling. The mum-of-four and the singer welcomed the little boy in August 2017, and Gokey shared the news with a FaceTime photo.
The "American Idol" third place finalist, is a doting father. He once said that he would not miss out on his children's lives for anything, and despite his busy schedule, he always makes time for them. In April, Gokey told People that he's still trying to find a balance between fatherhood, and his career. Gokey said, "I had to learn some things, because it's not easy," adding at the end, "Being a dad is one of my favorite things in the world."
The couple got married in 2012, three years after the death of his first wife, Sophia MartinezSophia Martinez. The two are glad they found each other, and are thankful for the family they've made together.
