Robin Roberts and Her Longtime Girlfriend Look Chic in Matching Pink Minnie Mouse Jackets
Robin Roberts posted a cute couple boomerang with her longtime girlfriend, Amber Laign, where they wore matching Minnie Mouse jackets.
Robin Roberts and her girlfriend, Amber Laign, look adorable in a new post where they wore matching pink Minnie Mouse denim jackets. The couple’s boomerang started with them facing back then looking forward while opening up their jackets.
“Thoughtful sister-in-law Cynthia hooked us up with matching jackets! Wishing all a blessed Sunday,” she shared as the caption.
Roberts has continuously been updating her social media, sharing about her fun-filled days with Laign, which many among her fans are happy about. A few days back, she posted yet another picture of the two “having as much fun as the little ones,” while they go on a “Toy Story” ride.
In 2014, the “Good Morning America” host introduced her girlfriend to the world, only four months after coming out as gay through social media. She spoke about her longtime relationship in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres and shared:
“We met on a blind date, it will nine years in July.”
Laign held her girlfriend’s hand through a difficult time in her life when she was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, which eventually required a bone marrow transplant.
In her memoir, “Everybody’s Got Something,” the anchor disclosed that she and Laign do not live under the same roof, but have been very supportive of each other. She added:
“I guess it would be hard because you wake up at 3 a.m. every day and I wouldn’t want to wake up to that either.”
The book contained much about their relationship, including the fact that her girlfriend preferred to be out of the spotlight; hence, her absence during Roberts interview on the show.
As a couple, they have decided to keep their life private and as far from the press as possible.
Before ending her interview, Roberts commended DeGeneres for having “helped a lot of people” come out and be comfortable with their sexuality, and for that she was thankful.
