Cardi B Wows in Red Rope Dress as She Wins 2019 VMA Award for Best Hip Hop Video

The music star was all shades of gorgeous in a body-hugging dress as she received her best hip-hop video award.

Cardi B is well known for being at her ‘A-game’ when it comes to making fashion statements, and she pulled off an impressive feat once again. This time, it was at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards.

Although she skipped routine by jumping the red carpet, she made a stunning appearance with her eye-catching outfit while she accepted her award. Cardi B donned a sophisticated fitted burgundy gown with a cleave showing neckline design.

To say the least, she was fantastic!

The singer took to her Instagram page to share a full view of her look to the award show. She gave the post a simple caption and was acclaimed with a myriad of compliments from fans.

“Big Bardi,”

A commenter wrote:

“Best dressed tingz”

while another stated:

“The dress, make-up, hair & accessories is everything.”

Of course, one wouldn’t expect anything less considering the singer’s ‘10 out of 10’ look.

CARDI B THANKS HER GLAM TEAM WHILE RECEIVING THE AWARD

While giving her award speech, the singer thanked her make-up artist Erica La Pearl as well as hairstylist, Tokyo Stylez who was part of her ‘glam squad’ and gave her an adorning look. Cardi B also thanked Jora Frantzis, who is her music director. In her words:

“Since this is the Video Music Awards and everything, I really want to thank my music video team. First Jora Frantzis – that’s the director. She’s gotta hear outta my mouth, ‘I look ugly. Edit my stomach, edit my butt. Smooth my cellulite out.”

Then she went on to thank others who worked with her.

Interestingly, Cardi B also made headlines with a surprising look at the award's previous edition. She stunned fans looking adorable in an off-shoulder pink gown with high-slit designs.

Of course, this isn’t extraordinary but considering that she just welcomed her first child, Kulture Kiari, a few weeks back, it worthy of ‘lauding.’

The year’s VMA sees the singer nominated in four different categories. These include best hip-hop video, best dance video, best artist and best pop video.
