Model Cindy Crawford Celebrated Her Daughter Kaia Gerber's 18th Birthday with a Now-And-Then Post

Kaia Gerber is 18! Cindy Crawford celebrated her daughter on her birthday with a warm tribute that showed how proud she is of the young model.

Cindy Crawford is one proud mama, and she's thrilled to celebrate her daughter, Kaia Gerber, as the young model turns 18. In a post to her Instagram page, the supermodel shared two then and now photos of her child.

In the first, a young Kaia dressed in a polka dot outfit looked adorable as she smiled, and held two gloved hands to her face. In the second, she channelled her inner fierceness in a fishnet outfit and hugged herself in a way that gave off strong woman vibes.

Crawford captioned the photo,

"From this to THIS in a blink of an eye. Happy birthday, @KaiaGerber. I'm so proud of the young woman you have become. All the best in the year ahead."

The mum-of-two's followers joined her in celebrating Kaia in the comment section. One person wrote,

"What a gorgeous little girl, and even more gorgeous woman she became. Congrats to you both." Another wrote, "Beautiful like her mom. Happy Birthday."

Kaia's eighteenth year is already off to a good start. The celebrant marked the day with the release of her cover for the October issue of British Vogue.

The cover photo showed the Calvin Klein model in a Valentino silk geometric designed outfit, headscarf, and statement earrings adorned with what looked like pieces of coral.

The young woman also paid tribute to the beauty mark on the left side of her mom's lip by putting one underneath her lip on the right side. She got styled by Pat McGrath and photographed by the legendary photographer, Steven Meisel.

The second photo from Crawford's post is from the Vogue Issue. Kaia, who the fashion magazine described as, "The new darling on the runway," talked about life away from the camera. She said,

"I have backgammon at my house, and that's all a girl needs. When I'm home, I'm living the life of a 70-year-old woman."

The rising model also made it clear that being in a relationship is not her priority list for now. The Cindy Crawford lookalike said,

"When I'm working, I don't have the energy to even flirt with anyone, I'm sorry, I just can't."

She also made it clear that she has not given up on love and is open to it in the future.

Kaia is undoubtedly making a name for herself away from Crawford's success, and as Edward Enniful, the Chief Editor at British Vogue said, she's driven, hardworking, and beautiful.
